[EN] At a·emotional light, emotion takes on a unique value. It’s the value of craftsmanship, of the singular and the exclusive. Light is a medium for evoking emotions, as music or art does. This perspective leads us to perceive our designs as bespoke creations, individually handcrafted pieces meticulously designed to illuminate spaces, touch people’s hearts, and capture special moments.

[EN] En a·emotional light, la emoción adquiere un valor propio. El valor de lo hecho a mano, de lo singular y lo exclusivo. Para nosotros, la luz es un medio para evocar emociones, igual que lo son la música o el arte. Esa visión es la que nos lleva a entender nuestros diseños como creaciones de sastre, confeccionadas individualmente y de forma artesanal, pensadas para iluminar espacios, personas y momentos.

[EN] The story of a·emotional light is woven with threads of light, experimentation, and artisanal craftsmanship. Nestled in the northern regions of Spain, for over 25 years, our workshop has functioned as an artistic laboratory. From this very origin, our lamps have sought to shine with a distinctive identity capable of surprising and stirring emotions.

[EN] La historia de a·emotional light está compuesta por luz, experimentación y artesanía. Ubicado en el norte de España, durante más de 25 años nuestro taller funcionó como laboratorio artístico. Es por eso por lo que desde el origen, nuestras lámparas han buscado destacar con una identidad única, capaz de sorprender y emocionar.

Estos conceptos, como 7 notas de música aleatorias, pueden tener sentido o no, pero combinadas con ritmo y orden pueden dar una melodía. Todos estos conceptos a través de la luz componen la nueva colección de a·emotional light. Una colección que habla de sintonía y equilibrio entre formas, de idear un imaginario para crear atmósferas y espacios en los que convivir.

Designers

Arturo Álvarez

[EN] Arturo Álvarez is a designer, artisan and artist, but he prefers to define himself as a creator. Self-taught and curious, his work has evolved from the figurative and nature inspired to abstraction and geometric forms. Today he explores light as a means of expression, addressing the human being and his relationships through shadows, contrasts and new techniques and materials.

Isaac Piñeiro

[EN] Isaac Piñeiro creates intuitive products, exploring efficiency in terms of design, production and form. He conceives design as a craft: a transversal discipline, where collaboration and co-creation are essential. His strategic approach seeks comprehensible, timeless and durable objects. He has worked with national and international brands, winning awards such as the IF Design Award and Red Dot. Since 2021, he has been creative director of a·emotional light.

Héctor Serrano

[EN] Héctor Serrano, Valencian industrial designer, founded his studio in London in 2000 and throughout his career he has explored product, furniture and immersive installations. His work fuses innovation, memory and surprise, creating timeless and emotional objects. He has collaborated with national and international brands, and has been recognised with awards such as the Red Dot and the Spanish National Design Award 2024.

Cenlitros

[EN] Cenlitros is a design cooperative founded by Ricardo Tubío and Xabier Rilo. Their approach seeks a humanist design that transcends the functional, integrating social and emotional factors. For almost twenty years, they have been developing product, graphic, packaging and space projects, both ephemeral and permanent, exploring the creative, technical and socio-cultural spheres.

Tomás Alonso

[EN] Tomás Alonso, born in Vigo, left Galicia at the age of 19 to become a trained designer. After living in the USA, Italy and Australia, he completed a master’s degree at the Royal College of Art and founded his studio in London in 2007. His work spans furniture, lighting and interior design, collaborating with brands such as Hermès, HAY and Ikea. He has exhibited in museums and international fairs, combining his work as a designer with teaching at ÉCAL.

[ES] Arturo Álvarez es diseñador, artesano y artista, pero prefiere definirse como creador. Autodidacta y curioso, su obra ha evolucionado desde lo figurativo y la inspiración en la naturaleza hacia la abstracción y las formas geométricas. Hoy explora la luz como medio de expresión, abordando el ser humano y sus relaciones a través de sombras, contrastes y nuevas técnicas y materiales.

Teresa Sapey + Partners

[EN] Based in Madrid since 1990, Teresa Sapey + Partners is a multidisciplinary studio that designs spaces filled with feelings. Its bespoke approach combines architecture, interior design and urban planning, with a special focus on colour, light and materials. It stands out for transforming urban spaces and creating unique projects in hotels, shops and residential facilities, such as Room Mate Bruno, Nhow Marseille and Amor De Dios in Madrid.

PF1 Interiorismo

[EN] Specialising in the hotel contract environment, the designers of the PF1 studio incorporate their experience in the creation of special pieces for each environment into product design. The sum of this team has resulted in numerous national and international awards for their work in the hotel industry.

Rafa Alonso

[ES] Isaac Piñeiro diseña productos intuitivos, explorando la eficiencia en concepción, producción y forma. Concibe el diseño como oficio: una disciplina transversal, donde la colaboración y la co-creación son esenciales. Su enfoque estratégico busca objetos comprensibles, atemporales y duraderos. Ha trabajado con marcas nacionales e internacionales, obteniendo premios como IF Design Award o Red Dot. Desde 2021, es director creativo de a·emotional light.

[ES] Héctor Serrano, diseñador industrial valenciano, fundó su estudio en Londres en 2000 y a lo largo de su trayectoria ha explorando producto, mobiliario e instalaciones inmersivas. Su trabajo fusiona innovación, memoria y sorpresa, creando objetos atemporales y emocionales. Ha colaborado con marcas nacionales e internacionales, y ha sido reconocido con premios como el Red Dot o el Premio Nacional de Diseño 2024.

[ES] Cenlitros es una cooperativa de diseño fundada por Ricardo Tubío y Xabier Rilo. Su enfoque busca un diseño humanista que trascienda lo funcional, integrando factores sociales y emocionales. Durante casi veinte años, han desarrollado proyectos de producto, gráfica, embalaje y espacios, tanto efímeros como permanentes, pudiendo explorar el ámbito creativo, técnico y sociocultural.

[ES] Con sede en Madrid desde 1990, Teresa Sapey + Partners es un estudio multidisciplinar que diseña espacios con sentimientos. Su enfoque a medida combina arquitectura, interiorismo y urbanismo, con una atención especial al color, la luz y los materiales. Destaca por transformar espacios urbanos y crear proyectos únicos en hoteles, comercios y residencias, como Room Mate Bruno, Nhow Marseille y Amor De Dios en Madrid.

[EN] Our in-house design team explores light by experimenting in our workshop, combining craftsmanship and technology. From our headquarters in Galicia, we research innovative materials and processes to create luminaires that transcend functionality and evoke emotions. A manual and experimental approach allows us to develop unique pieces, where each shape and texture is born from the dialogue between idea, matter and light.

[ES] Rafa Alonso, maestro de formación y vocación, experimenta con las formas y piensa con las manos. Su trabajo creativo, arraigado en la artesanía y el arte contemporáneo, transforma materiales cotidianos en piezas expresivas. Su compromiso social lo llevó a crear Lea, un proyecto con impacto solidario. La emoción, la sencillez y la pureza de sus formas hacen de su diseño una apuesta única para a·emotional light.

[ES] Nuestro equipo interno de diseño explora la luz a través de la experimentación en taller, combinando artesanía y tecnología. Desde nuestra sede en Galicia, investigamos materiales y procesos innovadores para crear luminarias que trascienden la funcionalidad y evocan emociones. [EN] An exuberant free-standing luminaire of imposing height and sculptural volume. Its smooth, firm skin, made of painted stainless steel mesh, lets the light escape as it ascends in a beam shape through the conical structure to expand completely at the top.

[EN] Agasallo, which means ‘gift’ in Galician, is a collection designed by Héctor Serrano. Its shapes and its hand-painted design generate unique light effects that are projected into the space, creating a singular atmosphere. Available in four pendant sizes that can be combined at different heights, creating multiple compositions, Agasallo also features new floor and table versions.

[ES] Agasallo, que significa “regalo” en gallego, es una colección diseñada por Héctor Serrano. Sus formas y su pintado a mano generan efectos de luz únicos que se proyectan en el espacio creando una atmósfera singular. Disponible en cuatro medidas de colgante que se pueden combinar a diferentes alturas, creando múltiples composiciones, Agasallo cuenta además con nuevas versiones de pie y mesa.

[EN] Aimei is the most sculptural pendant lamp by Arturo Álvarez. A piece that stands out for its unique design, composed of a luminous sphere wrapped in an ash wood frame, creating a perfect balance between light and form. Its wooden structure, inspired by the backbone of the universe, generates a gentle sense of movement that filters the light in a subtle and fluid way. Each piece is handcrafted by skilled woodworkers, with careful attention to detail to highlight the warmth and natural beauty of the wood.

Una pieza que destaca por su diseño único y que se compone de una esfera luminosa envuelta por un armazón de madera de fresno, creando un equilibrio perfecto entre luz y forma. [EN] The circular distribution of light ensures that Anel offers adequate lighting efficiency for this type of product, while the surface mounting makes it easy to install. [EN] Baleira —meaning “empty” in Galician— is a steel mesh reinterpretation of the geometric and timeless form of the classic dome, radically transforming its character and turning it into something ethereal, almost intangible. The perimeter LED light source enhances the sense of emptiness and visual lightness, creating a subtle and delicate presence. This light manifests both as direct illumination over the table and as a generous ambient glow, which, together with the clever adjustment of the dome’s angle, significantly influences the distribution of light in the space.

[ES] Baleira —vacía en gallego— es una reinterpretación en malla de acero de la forma geométrica y atemporal de la cúpula clásica, lo que cambia radicalmente su carácter convirtiéndola en algo etéreo, casi intangible. La fuente de luz LED perimetral refuerza la sensación de vacío y ligereza visual, creando una presencia sutil y delicada. Esta luz se materializa tanto en una iluminación directa sobre la mesa como en una iluminación ambiental generosa, lo que, junto a una ingeniosa regulación del ángulo de la cúpula, influye notablemente en la distribución de la luz en el espacio.

Blossom

[EN] The Blossom table lamp is an object that opens up, but is also delicate and fleeting. Its asymmetrical shape and color changes depending on the observer’s point of view, as do its weaves and wefts. Blossom is a design intended to produce elegant lighting effects in any type of environment.

[EN] Steel wire is incorporated into our repertoire of materials in the design of this collection. By wrapping it around itself, spheres are created and then joined into ethereal, almost transparent volumes, endowing this lamp with a subtle beauty. The white finish accentuates the delicacy of a piece handcrafted from a material as cold as steel, which in this design seems to bloom with life.

[ES] El hilo de acero se incorpora a nuestro repertorio de materiales en el diseño de esta colección. Al enrollarlo sobre sí mismo, se crean esferas que se unen en volúmenes etéreos, casi transparentes, lo que dota a esta lámpara de una belleza sutil. El acabado en blanco acentúa la delicadeza de una pieza generada a mano a partir de un material tan frío como el acero, que en este diseño parece florecer lleno de vida.

[EN] Inspired by the superimposition of clouds and the Atlantic sky, the a·emotional light design team has developed this compositional system for installations. The combination of layers and superimposed volumes, together with the lighting that bathes the ensemble, make Brétema a unique proposal for carrying out limitless configurations with a high degree of expressiveness.

[ES] Inspirados en la superposición de nubes y el cielo atlántico, el equipo de diseño de a·emotional light ha desarrollado este sistema compositivo para instalaciones. El juego de capas y volúmenes superpuestos, combinado con la iluminación que baña el conjunto, hacen de Brétema una propuesta singular para llevar a cabo configuraciones sin límites con un alto grado de expresividad.

[EN] The Cabana lamp aims to offer a sense of seclusion and shelter similar to the Galician cabins, or cabanas, that were used to protect raw materials or as a shelter against inclement weather. The lampshade is made using the 3D knitting method, a technique commonly used in the textile industry but seldom applied to lighting. This makes it possible to create seamless lampshades in three dimensions without producing excess fabric.

[ES] La lámpara Cabana busca ofrecer una sensación de recogimiento y cobijo similar a las cabanas gallegas que servían como estructura de protección de materias primas o como cobijo ante las inclemencias meteorológicas. Es una lámpara creada mediante el método de confección de punto 3D para la fabricación de su pantalla, comúnmente utilizado en la industrial textil pero poco aplicado en la iluminación.

[EN] Cabana provides an atmosphere of warmth, security and seclusion, illuminating with a light that creates the same feeling as a rainy day in the shelter of a hut.

[EN] Inspired by nature, Cambo is designed based on the natural growth of plants, the branching and bifurcation of trees. Cambo consists of a beech wood structure with a waterbased varnish that reveals the material in its most natural form. Within this unique structure, a painted stainless steel mesh lampshade is introduced, housing the integrated LED light source.

[ES] Con la naturaleza como inspiración, Cambo se ha diseñado basándose en el crecimiento natural de las plantas, la ramificación y la bifurcación de los árboles. Cambo está formada por una estructura de madera de haya con un barniz al agua que permite mostrar el material en su forma más natural. En esta peculiar estructura se introduce la tulipa de malla de acero inoxidable pintada que alberga la fuente lumínica LED integrada.

[EN] This hanging design is a linear piece with horizontal proportions that combines two types of lighting: direct lighting that projects down from above and a second indirect ambient lighting that is subdued and suggestive. The light emitted across its surface gives Nebra a weightless appearance, a stark contrast with the expressive sobriety of the piece when turned off. It is made from a sequence of pieces of consistent height and variable length, making it flexible and easy to combine in a series.

Additionally, the family grows with a reinterpretation of the original piece in ceramic, available in three sizes and three colours, while preserving the simplicity and honesty of natural materials.

[EN] The Umbra collection of wall lamps arises from the concern to work with shadow and texture through light. These luminaires highlight the value of penumbra in the face of the excess of illumination that surrounds us. The lamp is defined by simple geometries and the interplay of chiaroscuro produced by the juxtaposition of materials and matter.

[ES] La colección de apliques Umbra surge de la inquietud de trabajar con la sombra y la textura a través de la luz. Son luminarias que ponen en valor la penumbra ante el exceso de iluminación que nos rodea. The stainless steel mesh is a cold industrial material that through manual techniques is converted into lamps. The physical characteristics of these materials allows through methods developed by our team, they can be folded, molded and cut resulting in creative freedom designs.

The paint finish adds to this resistant and compact material a greater durability and facilitates its maintenance and cleaning.

The stainless steel thread interlaced and embroidered on itself, creates random, light, seemingly fragile volumes, but durable thanks to the sturdiness that paint finish brings.

3 Galvanized steel mesh

The application of galvanized steel mesh is another example of a different use of the material. The malleability of this material and its hollow light allows it, through painting processes, to become a material with a delicate appearance but of high quality and durability.

El hilo de acero inoxidable entrelazado y embrollado sobre sí mismo, crea volúmenes aleatorios, ligeros, aparentemente frágiles, pero resistentes gracias a la dureza que le aporta la pintura.

4 Cellulose cord Cordón de celulosa

The pressed cellulose cord is a pleasant texture material and has a wide range of colors. This medium flammability component is obtained from pressed cellulose and is molded using its own techniques. Due to its physical characteristics it is not recommended to wet the material for cleaning.

El cordón de celulosa prensada es un material de agradable textura y que presenta una amplia gama de colores. Este componente de flamabilidad media se obtiene de celulosa prensada y a través de técnicas propias, se moldea. Debido a sus características físicas no se recomienda mojar el material para su limpieza.

A material of high durability and easy maintenance. The birch wood is characterized by its light color and low contrast, allowing easy manual processing. The light that escapes between the wooden slats turns this material into a warm and elegant wood.

All lamps are labelled with an identification code and serial number. This fixture is an exclusive and authentic design of the company a·emotional light. It is entirely handmade in Spain and passes strict quality controls before its entrance into the market.

All our lamps are totally handmade. The differences found in our luminaires and in the different materials used make them unique. Small differences between lamps are not a defect, it is a value because each one is a unique object. The indicated lampshade dimensions are only approximate, never exact.

Some dimensions and/or electrical data may vary, consult your sales advisor.
