WHAT’S POPPIN’ DRAGONS! I’m Diane Dao, and I am FIREd up to serve as your Lt. Governor for the 2021-2022 term!

Welcome to the new term- and with it, new memories!

The reality is, Key Club is a little different now- but this Division’s passion for service will never cease to amaze me. We ALL play a part in improving our communities, schools, and selves, and no time online can ever take that away. While we head into this term virtually, I am optimistic of what we all can accomplish this year, and I hope you will continue join me for your Key Club journey! My name is Ashley Park, and I am a current sophomore at the Orange County School of the Arts under the Creative Writing Conservatory, as well as Division 4 East’s Lieutenant Governor. Here are 3 fun facts about me! I like writing poetry, my favorite color is yellow, and my go-to boba order is Wintermelon Milk Tea with boba! I’m super excited to work with your Lieutenant Governor, Diane Dao, this term and hopefully meet a lot of you as well at joint division events! I hope you’re all doing well, and I can’t wait to see you all grow.

My name is Katie Doan, and I proudly serve as Division 4 North’s Lieutenant Governor for the 2021-2022 term!! I love to spend my time playing the piano, traveling, swimming and gaming! Let me know if you ever need someone to play Minecraft, Roblox, or Valorant with >:) I am looking forward to spending the new term with you all especially as your sister division, and I know that Diane will make your Key Club experience an unforgettable one. Diane is truly a one of a kind, and you guys are so lucky that you have such an amazing Lt. Governor! I’m looking forward to my otters collaborating with D04W in the future and meeting all of you. I love going out with friends (and making them), trying new foods, and being a Key Clubber I am so excited to meet all of you within this next term and to make unforgettable memories. What’s up Dragons! My name is Cassandra Flandre-Nguyen (yes it’s a very long name) and i proudly serve the Division 30 North rhinos as their Lt. Governor! In my free time, i’m either eating kiwis, calling your lovely LTG Diane, or at work. i genuinely can’t wait to see you all at an in-person even (hopefully soon!) and please annoy Diane as much as possible!! What’s blazin’ dragons?! My name is Noah Steinmetz and I proudly serve Edison Key Club as their president. Something interesting about me is that I am a trail mix connoisseur!! For this term, I hope to reinvigorate that spark that we all lost as a result of COVID. More importantly, I cannot wait to see all of you Dragons once we return to in-person events ASAP!

Hi! I’m Jenny Phan, a junior at Fountain Valley High School and the President of Fountain Valley Key Club. Fun fact about me, I am deathly afraid of paper cuts. For the next term, I hope to create a more inclusive and strong knit community within Key Club!

Hi, my name is Thomas Tran, I am a junior at Huntington Beach High School, I enjoy listening to music, and I will do my best to serve Key Club, Kiwanis, and my community.

hi!!! my name is milli and im currently a junior at marina high school. fun fact about me is that i dont know how to ride a bike ;-; and i love spicy food! this year, i really hope to meet/get to know all of our members and reignite their passion for service!

My name is Kevin Do and I am currently a junior at Mater Dei High School. A fun fact about me is that I am a foodie and I love to try new food. Since this is my last year in key club, I want to make lots of memories both with members of my club and also with members of Division 4 West!

What's poppin Dragons, I'm Athena Tan, Ocean View Key Club's president for the 2021-2022 term, and an upcoming junior here at the wonderful Ocean View High! I was so lucky to be given the chance to serve my club for this term, and I will work hard every day to bring my club to new heights! I can't wait to meet all you lovely lovely people, and let's make this year the best one yet!

Hi I’m Karen and I’m looking forward to making new memories this term! I love fries and mostly anything green tea. I’m also more of an introvert, but I’m excited to build new relationships and connections with everyone here in Key Club.

Hey Hey D04W, my name is Justin Miguel and I dutifully serve Segerstrom’s Keyclub! Something interesting about me is that I can transpose music to my violin given enough time. My hopes for this term is to expand the club and have it become well known throughout the D04W district! I’m not sure how the future will go, but I’m excited to work with all you hardworking dragons!

Gone are the days of ST Math, and here to stay is Rice Race! This past month our club got to engage in a service event that was reminiscent of the math learning game that we all had to endure in our formative years in primary school, with a fun twist of course! This game took the fun aspects of JiJi and removed all of the frustrating elements, as our members ran, floated, and dodged obstacles to collect coins, Each coin is the equivalent of one grain of rice, and thus our club was able to donate hundreds of grains of rice to the Food Bank Programme. It was truly on fo the most fun digital events that we have had, in which service merged with game and fun.

Powerpuff Feud was one of the socials we had this month. The social was with Saddleback and Godinez. It took place on March 27th from 3-4 pm. Members took part in a game of Family Feud.

There were three teams. Each team was represented by one of the Powerpuff girls. There were also backgrounds for each Powerpuff that members could use to match their respective teams. Of the three teams, Team Buttercup won. The social was well managed and organized. There was also a good amount of members who attended, so it was a successful event.

During the Month of March Godinez Key Club held a Raising Cane's Fundraiser.

Our restaurant fundraisers are always super exciting events as we can support our club and eat. I was able to make it to the Raising Cane's fundraiser and got to eat and it was definitely good food. Our board members always support our fundraisers and there were a few other clubs who supported us as well! The Raising Canes fundraising although we do not have the total amount we earned it went well.

The Division banquet helped celebrate the tenacity our division has shown through this pandemic and the seniors that will be leaving us to move onto a new chapter in their lives.Through the various awards presented to the speeches of gratitude towards the club, as well as the people that make Key Club possible, our banquet was filled with tears. Although our term began and ended in a virtual setting, the experiences and relationships we have built through our service will last a lifetime.

The banquet was able to act as the door for the seniors to close, as they entered a new possibilities, so it was perfect for closure.
