HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM DIANA LOCKWOOD

Science

Outer Space We kicked off our outer space unit with a Solar Eclipse! Students studied what takes place during an Eclipse and safety measures to protect their eyes. We learned about the Moon and the International Space Station. Through YouTube, we were able to watch the effects of zero gravity on water on the ISS, which led us into our next unit. Recommended picture books for additional reading: Mousetronaut and If You Decide to Go to the Moon.

& STEAM @Paideia

Water We are having the best time exploring the properties of water, hot vs. cold water, playing with just one drop of water and we’ll end our unit next week with bubbles & homemade thermometers that they will build in small groups. Recommended picture books for additional reading: A Drop of Water and All the Water in the World
