Integrated databases, for example:  ISO/TR 7250-2 :2010  DIN EN ISO 3411:2007  Europamensch (gesicherte arbeitswiss. Erkenntnis Nr. 108)  BODYSPACE (Pheasant, 1988))  Internationaler anthropometrischer Datenatlas (Jürgens, BAuA, 1989) DIN 5566-1:2006  BSI PP 7317 ISBN 0580 15391 1987  Ross & Wilson UHP database 1976-1996  JAPAN Database Institute of Bioscience and Humantechnology 1994  NASA STD 3000(2000) Interpretation of User defined database

Control - Monitor - Customize Control functions

Additional Statistical Variability: • Gender (Masculin, Feminin, Unisex Human Phantom) • Age, Percentil , Acceleration • Somatotype Proportion

Collision environment definition • Realtime collision detection

Keyframing, animation • Time configuration • Keyframe Export-Import • Render Setup • Animation Recorder

Control functions, continued Biomechanics Simulation and Animation  Numerical and Interactive Joint Animation

 Tracker Controler  Inverse Cinematics  Realtime Multi Target Inverse Biomechanics Static discomfort analysis

 NASA-Standard 3000  joint movement  joint resistant  body chain torque on join

Monitor & document functions, for example  Human Body Type Data, -center of inertia  Reach Analysis

 Collision  Static discomfort  Inertia and force-vectors  Bone Data  Visibility Analysis Data  Body Forces Analysis Data  Documentation - Alphanumeric documentation - Picture documentation, rendering - Video documentation

Customize Human Body • Customize Body structure – bone structure cinematic properties – define attachments – define physical parameters

• Customize kinematic chain of Body – different inverse cinematic definition – augmented animation by assignments – rotation, translation, scale limits

• Customize Body Shape – Build solid graphics representation – Build and edit body morphing – Rigging of body scan geometry

• Build a Human Body from component libraries

Ergotyping ® tools

Ergotyping ® is a registered trademark of Dresden University of Technology

In cooperation with Dresden University of Technology, Chair of Labor Sciences, ergonomic tools are developed, emphasizing particularly the integration of normative ergonomic requirements. Ergotyping® includes methods and digital tools to be used for the analysis, assessment and design of the ergonomic aspects of Digital Prototyping

“assessment of visibility”

“body force”

Assessment of Visibility  Undershooting of viewing distance (Limit to adjust focus) - max. accommodation, nontiring accommodation (25, 40, 50 years old)  Exceeding the admissible vertical/horizontal viewing angle  Viewing angle for High/Medium/Low visual quality requirements  Relative visual acuity  Fusional vergence  Fields of view (sharp, color, monochromatic, optimal)  Visual display of icons, alphanumeric elements and analogue scales with intervals of one, two, or five  Viewing distance from the display area, optimal and approved parameters.

Body forces evaluation 

(normative) evaluation procedure, based on the maximum static action forces collected in the national force standards (DIN 33411-4 DIN 33411-5 )

Force atlas for assembly operations (Montagespezifischer Kraftatlas)

– as-is-analysis – planning analysis (general planning or detailed planning)

evaluation procedure: detailed planning Force atlas for assembly operations

The health risk the specific force application carries is evaluated according to a threezone model ("traffic light" scheme) Evaluation methods: Actual state analysis ISO 11228-2:2010 Planning analysis DIN EN 1005-2

evaluation procedure: general planning DIN 33411-4 DIN 33411-5

Online workflow, example In the course of the Phiamo Electro Car Project Workflow we tested the working relationship of a package designer, a car bodywork design engineer and an ergonomist in a cloud computing environment.

Participants of the Cruzbike Cuervo Project were a bike producer company from the United States, a designer from Australia and a German ergonomist.
