INTO-WEAVING CIVIC CENTER

Site : Din Daeng, Bangkok, Thailand /Studio Y3

Scope : Public Commercial(Civic Center)

Weaving machines are used by Thai people. It Has been commonly used in almost every household since ancient times so Thai people already absorb it without realizing that wicker. In addition to weaving into various containers, It also weaves many kinds of tools and appliances in daily life. Including also having a variety of unique patterns.

Weaving In Schematic :

We have designed the schematic by applying a pattern of three-dimensional weaving lines as a grid system.

Form & Process

Sourround View :

Created the mass to block the outside view which is unslighty.

Weaving In Linkage :

All of the connections and circulation between each building are designed according to the direction of the three-dimensional weaving pattern.

Weaving in Roof character

We include the light runes. above the building. The selection of void light is chosen from the pattern of weaving and the roof itself creates the detail from the pattern.

Dynamic : Create the movement of building and level.

Level Reduction : Lower the level, Building can more interact with the flowing of space.

Orientation:

Linkage : Create the shortcut link the user to their destination.

Integrated space : Combine green space in the building so user can interact more with the nature.

Distance Reduction : Arranges the building into a circle to create interaction between people.

Contrast : Organic roofs create the contrast sincerely The selection of void light is chosen from the pattern of weaving.

MIDI BACKDROP

This year's Midi hackathon is on the theme of future perfect, with the challenge being to recycle only what you have in your university, with only the budget you get for glue. Causing us to find leftovers in the university to use as a backdrop. We foresee that the waste plywood pipe has the potential to make because it has a beautiful appearance, and dots that convey a pixel but still maintain its simplicity.

Since it must be able to take on the elevator, disassembly is required for transportation.

The top part is the part that brings various sponsors that help organize the MIDI hackathon.

Assembling the pipes, we will consist of lique nails which can be firmly attached. We will divide it into three parts together, namely ;

1. Header part

2. Body part

3. Foundation part

By making it a size that can be at a level that can be easily transported. Whether it's a pick-up truck and an elevator, and the weight is not too much.

The base of the foundation has a groove to fit the pipe. Make it durable and not easy to fall.

The part of the foundation base is made from wood left over from the university. In order not to let the pipe collapse in the future.

SDE SOLAR DECATHLON EUROPE

Site : KMUTT, Bangkok, Thailand /Volunteer

Scope : Construction(Wood Prefabrication house)

KMU team is applying the principle of “auto part”, found at the site, for the renovation. A “part” suggests a larger system which can be broken down into modularity of functions (parts), or the process that can be broken down into multiple steps. The shift to a modularized architecture as a result of standardization of parts allow increasing flexibility and ability to meet user’s specific needs.

The house are designed with 4 main programs to create the flow of activities, Users can walk from one area to the other area seamlessly inside the house, and to the outside via transitional area at the front terrace and the backyard area.

The integration of “part” into the shophouse also aims to increase its capacity and comfort conditions while maintaining local life in the historic neighborhood.
