HDPE PLASTIC: PROS AND CONS High-Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE) is one of the most versatile plastic materials used nowadays. It is used to manufacture various items such as food and beverage containers, cleaning product bottles, pipes, cutting boards, and some shoe parts. Because of its various qualities, it has become a very popularly used material. We are the plastic bottles, jars, and containers suppliers in India. We are in this industry since 2008. By satisfying our customers with the best services, quality, and punctuality, we have maintained our reputation all over India. Our mantra is “Quality is remembered long even after the price is forgotten” and we are proud to maintain that. The qualities of HDPE plastic we were earlier talking about are: • • • • • • • • • •

Easy to fabricate Resistance to environmental factors Easily Recycled Superior strength-to-density ratio High-impact resistance factor High melting point Available in many textures and sizes Good chemical resistance Cost-effective Stiff Material

The most relieving part is that the HDPE plastic products are safe and they do not transmit any chemicals into foods or drinks, thus making this plastic a low risk to human use. It is appropriate for waterproofing and storing liquids safely in an HDPE plastic container. The HDPE vessels are airtight which keeps the product safe from bacteria or dust. HDPE is used so regularly as it can be recycled in many different ways and therefore converted into many different things.

Everything has its pros and cons and we do have some disadvantages of this plastic material too: • • • • • •

High Thermal Expansion Poor Temperature Capability Non-Biodegradable Flammable Sensitive to stress cracking Difficult to bond

Considering both factors, we can conclude that HDPE plastic can be regularly used in our lives. Despite having some disadvantages, they are less harmful for human use as compared to other plastics.
