DHANANJAYAN P S
An Architecture Student
I am well-known for designing innovative and environmentally sustainable places that balance precision and ambition. My approach smoothly mixes style, eco-consciousness, and pragmatism, thanks to my strong academic foundation and hands-on experience. I succeed in collaborative situations and thrive in dynamic environments, thanks to my knowledge of modern design software. My ideology is based on pushing architectural boundaries while creating enduring and inspirational settings.
Architecture, in my opinion, emphasises minimalism—the less there is, the better the design. Excessive adornment weighs down a design, producing confusion and taking away from its core. However, this does not diminish the importance of adornment. When done correctly, decoration can improve a design by adding depth and interest without overpowering its essential simplicity.

The Residence
Using a minimalistic style, the house has three bedrooms, a living area, a kitchen, a gym, a home theatre, a garage, a swimming pool, and a sit-out area. Nine cubes evolved into a modern, minimalist architectural style, which is the basis of the design concept.

the basic form of design is evolved from 9 cubes
the cubes are compressed into different sizes for making the of-sets more vibrant
2 of the 9 cubes is deleted to create a major of-set to make the form interesting
after the of-sets the heights of the cubes are changed to have levels to make the form interesting
finally the cubes are attached to each other to complete the form.

2 Institute of Design
A design which has been designed with Roman Architecture as a designing concept, which deviates fom my perspective of design and has a radial pattern in every block. this design consist of several blocks related to the institute of design.

This design’s site plan is deliberately arranged in a radial pattern that resembles a maze or labyrinth. Its Roman-inspired design gives Chennai, a city renowned for its modern and Indo-Saracenic architectural traditions, a classical feel. The historic structure sticks out in this contemporary setting and becomes recognisable throughout the neighbourhood. The design of the labyrinth has two functions: it stimulates everyone’s creative side and improves the experience of students studying in the institute by giving the psychological impression of movement and wayfinding.
By combining the practicality of contemporary design with the classic elegance of Roman architecture, this method creates a singular and motivating area that enhances the surrounding area and encourages curiosity and innovation among its occupants.

the bachelor of design block:
The block’s circular form naturally incorporates features of Roman architecture. The block’s great entrance is highlighted by six Corinthian columns. This academic block is interesting since it has a mezzanine classroom that is used on a daily basis. drawing tables are located on the lower level, and lecture tables are located on the mezzanine. This arrangement optimises the use of drawing tables, which are crucial to the design course and are used for the most number of hours. Every floor has a different set of restrooms, making it convenient for both men and women. In addition to combining modern and classical architectural elements, this design places a high value on usability and utility. The mezzanine classroom’s integration and the thoughtful arrangement of facilities address the unique requirements of the design course, improving student learning overall.

Affordability and understated elegance are combined in this design, which is specifically suited to the requirements of the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) community. By providing an economical option without sacrificing luxury, it guarantees that inhabitants will have a good quality of life. There are about 600 units in the mid-rise building, ranging from studios to three-bedroom flats.
To provide easy access for the family members living in the complex, the studio blocks are positioned in the back and the three-bedroom blocks are positioned in front.
