According to the Quran, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) went to heaven on this day and met Allah.

Allah instructed our Prophet to pray five times a day.

The winged animal that took Him to heaven is called “Buraq.”

It is the festival of sacrifice, Muslims must sacrifice an animal according to Islamic ways, to show love for your creator.

The meat has to be divided in three portions.

One portion should be for family, another for friends and the last portion should be for poor.

Like Eid-ul-Fitr, this Eid is also celebrated with new clothes and decorations.
