Solution: The housekeeper did it. Before she left, she opened the window and stuck an ice cube under the frame to keep it open. 10 minutes later she shot the victim through the window from the outside and left. The ice cube melted thus closing the window. The puddle of water gave her away.

Winnie the Pooh

Round, fluffy, and yellow, there are few bears that are as cute as Winnie the Pooh. When it comes to having honey, no teddy bear in the world has a chance against this one! But where did Pooh come from? He came from a book, written by a very talented man named A A Milne.

Pooh from a real teddy bear, which was his son’s. Actually all the characters in Winnie the Pooh were from real toys. Who thinks he was an awesome writer? And Pooh wasn’t his only famous book which is fun to read.

He wrote five other stories and two poems, each of which is as enjoyable as the next. Rad Sharar

This little angel gives out so much fun in that one smile, that you can’t help but smile back. They smile and make you smile with them. Growing up teaches us a lot of things, about life and about responsibilities. This child has yet to be held back with any of that.

Instructions Glue a piece of paper to the shoe box.

Write “Start” and “Finish” on small papers and glue them to the short ends of the box. Sketch paths for the marble, with a marker, inside the box. Cut plastic straws in the sizes needed and place them over the lines you sketched. To play, place a marble at the end that says “Start” and run your marble through the maze. Bats are flying mammals.

•

Other flying animals can only glide but bats are able to fly.

•

They have the ability to see in the dark. This is known as “echolocation.”

Bending Spoon

What you’ll need • Stiff plastic Straws • Potato

Instructions Confused with the title? How is it actually possible to poke potatoes with straws? Well it’s easy, here’s how you do the trick.

You hold a straw by its sides and poke the potato. What happens? The straw goes through a small part of the potato.

A classic trick that every magician needs to know is how to bend a spoon.

What you’ll need • A metal spoon The secret • Take a spoon and face sideways towards your audience.

• Hold the spoon with both your hands, covering the ends of the spoon handle.

• The bottom of the spoon should touch the table.

• To show that you are bending it, press down on the table.

• Let the handle of the spoon fall backwards till it lies flat on the table.

• While you do that, keep your hands in the position it was when you were holding the spoon.

Tada! It is an illusion which will make people think you are bending the spoon when you aren’t!

Try again, but this time, cover the top part of the straw with your thumb and you can see the straw go through a bigger part.

How does this happen?

When you cover the top with your thumb, the air is trapped inside the straw, which makes it stronger, unlike the first attempt which pushes air out. Have fun poking potatoes!

No study for little kitty Pusheen, my four month old kitten is very playful. She loves to make a mess. Her favourite game is throwing everything off the table and running away.

A usual habit for cats is that they love attention and will do anything to get it. Pusheen usually plays with me and that means she hates it when my attention shifts somewhere else. One night, I sat down to study and Pusheen, as usual, was playing around. She realised I wasn’t paying attention to her, so, she decided to do something about it. She climbed up the chair and sat opposite to me, suddenly jumped on to my table, and sent all my notes flying. Then she sat there like nothing happened. I was shocked but it wouldn’t be fair to get angry at this adorable kitty! Anka Malik
