Meet the Artist

Bugs Bunny

His name is Chuck Jones, and he was also the artist behind Roadrunner, Wile E Cayote and Daffy Duck. He loved to draw when he was very young. He loved it so much, and was so good at it, that he joined art schools when he was just 15 years old! He thought of himself as “an actor with a pencil,” and what a talented actor Chuck was!

“What’s up, doc?” Where have we heard that before? You guessed it!

It is the favorite saying of our Loony rabbit friend - Bugs Bunny. No bunny is smarter or cooler than this one.

But this week, let’s take a look at the man who made him first, all out of his head.

WHISPER IN THE WIND

Bibbles was brought in when she was a month or so. Bibbles, like all other cats, would laze around the whole day, and probably play when her stomach felt light from the heavy food.

Bibs would avoid everything that was active. Her eyes would always be half open and she was always seen to be yawning very wide!

So one evening, we were all in the living room, and my youngest cousin was playing with a bubble pack. She was blowing bubbles all around the

house and this got quite annoying after a while. The bubbles would burst and irritate the eyes with the soapy water. Then Bibbles entered the room and suddenly she started jumping. She started popping the balloons with her fat paws. Bibbles found the bubble game so amusing that she continued to play for hours.

Bibbles seemed to be very active when it came to bubble time! Guess we found out a new active hour for her! anka malik

What you need • 5 identical plastic bottles • Water Instructions Fill five identical plastic bottles with different amounts of water.

Arrange the bottles in a row starting with the most full bottle to the least full. Blow on top of each bottle and note the different sounds that you make.

How it works The degree of how high or low a sound can be is what makes these varying sounds occur. When you blow on top of each bottle, the air inside the bottle vibrates. In the bottles with more air, vibrations happen more slowly so the pitch is low. In the bottles with less air, vibrations are fast resulting in higher pitched sounds.

Tell another friend to softly speak a number from 1 to 10 in your secret keeper’s ear.

Place your hands on your secret keeper’s face. (Pretend like you are reading his mind) Ask your secret keeper to chew

his chewing gum the same number of times as the number that was spoken in his ear.

Count cleverly and you will easily know what number was spoken into your secret keeper’s ear!
