2 mythical creature of the week

Sisters of Justice The Three Furies were spirits who stood up for fairness, scaring men when they did something bad. They were called “the angry ones” because they would get very sad whenever they punished the evil people on earth. But some people realised, that all they needed to do was call them “the nice ones” and they would become calm again.

The furies are three sisters: Allecto (which means endless), Tisiphone (meaning punishment), and Megaera (meaning rage). The three sisters looked like monsters, they would keep whips, and cups of poison with them, so they could use it to hurt bad afshan sattar people.

the HAnging gardens of babylon The Hanging Gardens of Babylon was built in about 600 BC. History says, King Nebuchadnezzar built the garden for his sick wife who was used to green fields. According to the Greeks, the roots of the plants in the hanging garden were lifted up, rather than being under the earth. What amazes us the most is the water system. The water from the Euphrates river was raised into the air which made it easy for the water to flow down the terrace to water the plants.

The hero in this picture is a boy called Hridoy, who lives in the slums of Rayer Bazaar and makes a living by selling “Jhal Muri” all day. With the money he earns, he tries to help his family. There are many boys like Hridoy who live their lives selling different items on the streets.

However, in the middle of their hard work, these children find happiness by simply smiling. So, the next time you buy “Jhal Muri” from kids like Hridoy, smile, for your smiles bring them bits of happiness that makes their day brighter. radia ali

Powerpuff Girls Please! Help! Townsville is under attack! Worried? No need to be. One phone call from the mayor and the most powerful girls ever will come and save the day. There are three of them - Blossom, Bubbles, and

Buttercup. We know who they are, but here is the person who created them, almost 22 years ago.

His name is Craig McCracken, and he is an American animator. At first, he named the show “Whoopass Girls!,” but later, he changed that to Powerpuff Girls. Apart from this, he even wrote story lines for Dexter’s Laboratory. Rad Sharar

Go Diego Go! “Go Diego Go!” is a television series on Nick Jr. It’s the second part to the television series “Dora the Explorer.”

Diego is Dora’s elder cousin. Diego, along with his elder sister Alicia, rescues animals from all over the world. Diego and Alicia are animal lovers, and they have with them, Diego’s jaguar, to help them.

Diego runs an Animal Rescue Centre

in the rainforest. Diego goes to rescue these animals whenever he hears them cry, and Alicia takes Diego and Baby Jaguar to the animals in need.

The bad guys in the series are the Bobo brothers, and Diego needs to scream “Freeze, Bobos!” to stop them.

Can Diego, along with Alicia, Baby Jaguar, his tools and all of us, succeed to save the animals? Khatidja Hussein

“Corpse” means a dead person.

In the 17th century, tulips meant a life forever, and love. Their prices used to be higher than that of gold.

Secret Message

For all the junior scientists out there, this is your chance to rule the skies What you need • 1 long balloon • 1 long kite string • 1 plastic straw • Tape Instructions Tie one end of the string to a chair and push the other end of the string through the straw.

Pull the string tight and tie the other end to another chair. Blow up the balloon but don’t tie it.

Pinch the mouth of the balloon and tape the body of the balloon to the straw. Your rocket is ready to be launched.

How it works The balloon moves forward real fast, because of the air inside it causing a forward push. This push is called “thrust,” and is caused by the air coming out of the balloon, very fast. sama e deen

Bell, the dog and Jim the cat are best friends. Yes, I was surprised too! Jim was bought a long time ago, but Bell was bought just a few months ago, as a watch dog.

Both of them hated each other at first! There would be meowing and barking all night. But, this stopped after a month, and we saw both of them getting along.

How did this happen, you ask? One night, as they fought, a street dog came and attacked Jim, and seeing this, Bell attacked the dog and scared him away. I was surprised to hear this, but later believed it, when I saw the two of them running and playing together.

The fight for food however still continues, Jim now steals Bell’s biscuits and Bell drinks milk from her bowl. It’s strange how love can be shown in the form of hatred, and especially when it comes to Anka Malik cats and dogs!

What you need: • A toothpick or a paintbrush • Lemon juice • A piece of paper • A table lamp or an iron What to do: • Pass someone a secret messages using lemon juice!

• Put your paintbrush or toothpick into some lemon juice and write your secret message on a sheet of paper, with it.

When the juice dries up, it will vanish.

Now give your secret message to your friend and have them heat up the paper using a clothes iron or hold it close to a warm light bulb and watch your writing magically appear again!

Be very careful while warming the sheet of paper with your message.

Note that this trick will not work if you use LED lights.
