Today is September 4, which in some countries is Newspaper Carrier Day. Basically, this is a day for your friendly newspaper man. In countries like the USA and Canada, young kids a little older than you guys work as paper boys, delivering newspapers from door to door. It might sound like a simple job, but think about all the people who have

to ride the bicycle all day, in hot weather and cold, in sunshine and rain, early in the morning, so that you can get your newspaper every day. It’s a LOT of work.

So if you’re happy to get your copy of Treehouse today, be sure to thank your paper boy tomorrow. Make him a card!

Born 6 March, 1987 Place of Birth Wedding, West Berlin, West Germany Playing position Defensive Midfielder

A professional football player for German Bundesliga club Schalke04, Kevin-Prince Boateng was nominated as the best youth player in Germany from 2006 to 2007.

It was followed by his performance as a defensive midfielder in the previous years.

An ardent lover of science, Gomes passed his HSC from Notre Dame College and enrolled himself in Dhaka University, where he graduated from the department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology. In the year 2008, he embarked on his teaching career, by joining SFX Green Herald School as a teacher of Physics and Chemistry for classes 6 to 9. Side by side, he joined St. Joseph as a teacher of Chemistry for classes 11 and 12. To “share the knowledge gained through work and experience” and to “create better futures for students as a guide and a mentor, helping them achieve their goals,” Gomes decided to teach and impart his passion for science to all his students. When free, he loves watching movies, reading books and has a penchant for travelling. Gomes, besides teaching, aspires to do doctoral research and work for MPhil in the near future.

The Magic Ketchup Experiment!

Things you need: • A 1 litre plastic bottle • Ketchup pack • Salt (using kosher salt helps keep the water from becoming foggy)
