2024 CEO Bytes

Dear Team,

I am writing to you on a very important topic today, a topic that is central to our existence as a company.

In February 2021, our Management team defined our Values and Behaviors. Since then, we have been on a journey to institutionalize these principles across all our daily business processes and practices. Immediately after identifying these Values and Behaviors, we conducted workshops to ensure every employee understood them. We integrated these values into our Performance Management System (PMS) and Rewards & Recognition (R&R) policy, encouraging employees to embody them. New joiners are sensitized to these values during their monthly induction. These behaviours are detailed in the enclosed presentation.

As the CXOs and I travel around the country visiting markets and plants and speak to our teams/ business partners, I do notice that there are instances where we have compromised on our integrity. These instances are not necessarily financial in nature but could relate to deliberate violation of policies, misrepresentation of data, behaviors not in consonance with the best interest of the organization, inappropriate dealings with business partners, etc.

I wish to reiterate that our values cannot be compromised, and it is not anyone’s choice not to adhere to them. All of us are bound to behave in the best interest of DFM Foods.

All your CXOs and managers are here to support you in your work. You are free to reach out to any of us should you need guidance, assistance, or clarification.

Having said that, strict action will be initiated against employees and business partners who do not comply with our Values & ethical behavior, resulting in violations of our code of business conduct.

We need to be vigilant against any unacceptable behaviour around us also. If you observe any irregularities, report them immediately to your immediate supervisor, skip-level manager, function head, or CHRO or me.

Please escalate the issue in this order should it remain unaddressed.

If you wish to remain anonymous, please write to values@dfmfoods.com and your concern will be addressed.

Thank you for upholding our values and making DFM Foods Ltd. a company we can all be proud of.

“Lead with vision, inspire with action”

“The future depends on what you do today”

I am privileged to have worked in the FMCG industry for over a decade. An ever-evolving market and emerging competitors are the top challenges in this domain. To ace this number-driven industry, it is imperative to have a firm grip on the following aspects:

1. Strategic thinking: Develo -

ping and executing successful sales strategies to drive revenue growth.

2. Leadership Skills: Inspiring, coaching, and developing a high-performing sales team.

3. Communication Skills: Engaging effectively with the sales team, customers, and internal and external stakeholders.

4. Result-oriented Focus: Achieving annual operating plans and meeting short and long-term business goals.

5. Coaching and Development: Identifying skill gaps and designing on-the-job and case study-based training programs.

6. Data Analysis: Interpreting sales metrics to make informed decisions and evaluate the cost-benefit ratio for the business.

7. Collaboration: Working seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including marketing, trade marketing, supply chain, finance, and HR, to ensure smooth operations.

The cornerstone of any successful sales function is a motivated team. As a leader, I believe in empowering my team with flexibility and structure to foster innovation.

CRAX holds a significant share in the snacks market, but maintaining this position is an ongoing challenge. Packaged snacks are popular with all age groups, and the competition is ever-growing. Its high demand and innovation potential present an opportunity to create a sustainable growth model. CRAX’s rich product portfolio gives it an edge over other brands.

Delhi-NCR region’s large size, dense population, and fierce business competition present unique challenges like diverse

consumer preferences, complex distribution networks, and stringent traffic regulations. Success in such a market requires agility, innovation, a customer-centric approach, and a deep understanding of consumer preferences and market dynamics. Key focus areas include Sales Process Optimization, Data-Driven Sales, Infrastructure Development & Partnerships, Business Enablers, and Sales Talent Acquisition & Development.

I look forward to joining hands with all of you at DFM and seek your support in taking this organization to greater heights.
