Dexter Southfield Day (PreK-Class 12)

Join parents, students, families, and alumni for Dexter Southfield Day! This beloved School tradition includes athletic contests, a BBQ lunch, family-friendly activities, and school pride.

Middle and Upper School Family BBQ

New and returning middle and upper school families are invited to campus prior to the first day of school for a BBQ dinner. This informal event is a great way for parents and children to get to know each other before classes begin.

Middle School Back to School Night

During this event, middle school parents will hear about the middle school experience from Head of School Todd Vincent, Head of the Middle School Todd Fawcett, and their children’s teachers.

Public Speaking

An essential part of a Dexter Southfield education, the Public Speaking program is designed to build confidence, character, communication skills, and leadership. In a progression from Kindergarten though Class 12, children annually perform a speech before an audience of parents, students, faculty, and friends of the School. A full schedule of the year’s Public Speaking events will be shared at the beginning of the school year.
