Can I cancel my flight booking online?

Yes, Depending on the type of ticket you hold, you can cancel your booking and request in manage a booking.

If you do not see this option for any reason or your booking is no longer active but you still want to request a refund, you can still cancel your booking. and request a refund. Please note this is only for booking made directly with Emirates, either on emirates.com or through our contact centers and offices.

If you have booked through a travel agent and have not yet started your journey, please contact your travel agent to make any changes.

There may be a fee associated with cancelling your booking, depending on the fare conditions of your ticket; some tickets are non-refundable. If you allow rent conditions, consider changing your booking instead of canceling it.

How do I change my travel details online after completing the booking?

You can use Manage a booking to make changes to most aspects of your booking and add extras to your flight before your fly.

For most emirates booking, you can make a variety of changes of your flight itinerary. Such as: • • • • • •

Changing the dates of your flights or times Altering your destination or origin Adding or removing stopovers Changing your route Changing your cabin class Cancelling parts of your itinerary

All these changes can be made through the changes my booking link in Manage a Booking. You’ll be able to select this like if your booking is eligible for online changes.

Please note there may be a fee associated with changing your booking, depending on the fare conditions of your tickets.

For any change that cannot be completed online, if you book with one or call your local Emirates office, please contact the travel agent if you book directly with Emirates.

Do I have to pay any fees to change my ticket?

Most rents, including most discounts or promotional fares, will be charged for making a change in fares.

If you start making changes to Emirates.com, our system will automatically tell you which fees will be applicable for fines, rent differences and additional taxes. These charges will have to be paid online before completing the changes.

If you want to change the fare of the travel program, then the rent you pay is higher, you will have to pay a difference in the rent, as well as any change fees.

New luggage rules - luggage screening and smart bag Updates to checked baggage screening For your safety, the General Department of the airport security department needs to inspect all the checked items. Therefore, some bags can be opened for further inspection during the screening process.

In order to avoid delay in flight and luggage, Dubai International Airport, Dubai Airport Police and Emirates have agreed on a new bag investigation process in which the customer no longer needs to be present for the open-bag inspection. Instead, Dubai airport will open and inspect the police bag in the presence of an emirate representative.

In such a case where these inspections are required, your bags will be opened and the content will only be searched for restricted items. Upon completion of the inspection process, the material will be returned to your bag and you will receive a letter from the Dubai International Airport in which the bag was opened. In some situations, customers can be requested individually for inspection of bags.

Smart baggage restrictions

According to the IATA rules, there will be restrictions on Smart Bag as check-in or carry-on baggage on all Emirates flights: For cabin baggage: •

Smart bags are allowed in the cabin within the size and weight range of the battery removable and cabin accessories.

The battery can stay installed until the smart bag completely stops.

If the battery is not removable, then the smart bag cannot be taken on Emirates flight.

For checked baggage:

Smart Bags are allowed in the check bag if the battery is removed and taken into the cabin.

If the cabin baggage is more than the size / weight limitations for the smart bag route, or the battery is not removable, then the smart bag cannot be taken on the Emirates flight.
