Art grows out of garden project

What started as a bit of fun at the Devonport Community Garden for artist Penny Clark bloomed into a spectular exhibition at Mt Cambria park as part the Devonport Arts Festival. Clark, who lives around the corner from the park, visited the garden every Wednesday afternoon over a year and painted the changes occuring. The result was Art and Two Veg, comprising around 35 works, “which were a bit of fun and outside of what I’m usually doing,” said Clark. Over on the next hill, Robyn Gibson’s Spiral soft sculpture installation on Mt Vic could be seen from a large part of Auckland
