The presence of Bosscha Observatory in Bandung seen as a hope for the development of astronomy in Indonesia. This museum is designated to revitalize the Bosscha area to be enjoyed by the public as a tourist destination, education, and outer space experience.

The Art of Emptiness - Brutalism - Technology - Green

Designed to complement the Bosscha Observatory as a museum for education through spatial experience The museum emphasizes the space experience with a narrative journey of human in understanding our world and universe Until now human still dont really understand the universe, that is beyond our mind. Something that cant be described often described by emptiness.

Astronomy combined with green as a representation of the earth (the only planet that supports life). Technology represents how much humans understand the universe. Brutalism reminds us that functionality, honesty, and social purpose is the priorities in Architecture. Our social purpose is to revive the Bosscha area so that it can be enjoyed by the public, ensuring it is disabled friendly

Sandyakala’s primary goal is to serve as an economic catalyst and a social space for the community It is based on concepts of easy to build and cost efficiency. This includes the efficient use of steel structures, ease of construction, low maintenance materials, and local resources.

Modern industrial hotel amidst a heritage area presents an intriguing contrast, turning the surroundings into a canvas where the hotel becomes a unique focal point. Highlights the distinctive features of both the historic architecture and the contemporary design.

MODERN IN THE MID OF HERITAGE AREA

Industrial - Modern

Leveraging the surrounding area’s colonial-style architecture, characterized by predominantly white ornamental features Brick and simple box mass creates a captivating contrast that adds its own allure

While aiming for contrast, the design also carefully considers harmony with the surroundings For instance, repetition of square glass elements reminiscent of heritage buildings at the site maintains visual cohesion

A family residence and sculpture gallery designed with japanese minimalist approach, emphasizing nature. The design maximize the natural potential of Bandung. Creates a serene and harmonious environment that blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.

TROPICAL BRUTALIST

The Art of Emptiness - Brutalism - Green

Building concept: compressing the building’s function into a compact form, so the rest of the area can be used as a spacious garden area surrounded by beautiful valley landscape. The building uses raw materials such as exposed concrete, white concrete, wood, highlighting materials.

Garden concept: the art of emptiness, focusing solely on functions that support family gatherings A gazebo placed in the center of pond serves as the main focal point, with the rest of the area is covered with grass No trees are planted within the view area to ensure an unobstructed panorama
