Letters to the Graduates Dear Sonora High School Class of 2016, On behalf of the Sonora Independent School District, Board of Trustees, it is our greatest pleasure to congratulate you on your graduation from Sonora High School!

Life is made up of a lot of small journeys. Graduation from high school is the end to one of those journeys, one that we hope you will all cherish. We celebrate you and encourage you to look back on lessons learned, bright memories and people who made a difference.

The Board of Trustees would like to thank you for being such outstanding representatives of our school and our community. It is a blessing to live in a place where the tradition of excellence is known for miles around and the reputation we have earned over the years is upheld and maintained by our students. You are each a part of that tradition and are in fact what makes Sonora wonderful.

We are proud of you and wish you all the very best and every success as you begin the next chapter of your lives; the next small journey. Remember that you have more power and abilities than you think. You can move mountains. Your future is bright. Go confidently in the direction of your dreams; live the life you have imagined. May God bless each and every one of you.

At some point between the time I had you in my 8th grade Science class and now you have probably heard me say “I love you”! I know saying that to you, at first created some strange looks, especially from football players! If you have not heard me say that lately I am saying it again now. I am so excited for each and every one of you. You have each blessed my life more than you will ever know. I leave you with a couple of thoughts as you leave Sonora High School and go on to accomplish great things in your lives. First, always remember, It is your attitude not your aptitude that will determine your altitude in life. Second, say Thank you to those who have been there to support you throughout your 12 years of school.
