Partnerships & Strategic Communications Increasingly, donors want to see local implementing partners actively taking part in the development of their own country. As a modest step towards bridging that gap, Devex hosted Partnerships Forums in Manila & Addis Ababa this year. Collectively gathering over 900 individuals from 38 of countries, Devex Forums are a platform for discussion between major international donors, private-sector companies, NGOs and regionally founded organizations, around practical solutions to the challenges of localization.

Gender. Food-security. Global health. These issues affect almost every single development practitioner worldwide. Throughout 2014, the She Builds, Feeding Development & Healthy Means campaigns sparked global, solutions-focused conversations between more than 36 million individuals collectively, and celebrated the thought leadership of the 18 organizations that served as partners across these major initiatives. What if you knew what your target audience thought of your brand? Devex recently conducted group surveys of specific donor communities to better understand brand perceptions and industry trends held by key stakeholders. Our survey and advisory services practice will continue working with development influencers to gather actionable insights like these that inform the forward movement of the development community as a whole, in addition to custom surveys for individual organizations.
With the help of partners like the Peace Corps, UN Volunteers and VSO, Devex has been sparking dialogue around the evolution and importance of volunteerism to international development and humanitarian relief through our online series, Doing More.
