“If there’s anything famous architects tried to teach us over the years is to never underestimate the power of design. Iconic architects such as Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, or Le Corbusier became famous for their intuitive thinking, out-of-the-box approach and stunning projects but the legacies they entrust us with is far greater than that. It’s perhaps their words of wisdom that inspire us the most.”

2022 I Boston I Community Kitchen
For the community kitchen the main goal is achieve community engagement and have a safe gathering place for all. To design a community kitchen there are many factors to consider like the gathering spaces, consumption spaces, cooking spaces and cultivation spaces. Having those spaces work with each other makes for a successful project. To make those spaces to work together circulation plays a very important role. My main goal will be to have all the spaces accessible to public so they can cultivate, prepare, cook, consume and compose and repeat the cycle. For the community kitchen, gatherings are also important and to make different types of gathering spaces would be beneficial for the people to enjoy the building. The gathering space should be inviting and well lit but also should give a sense of privacy and security. Saving water is another aspect that I wanted to focus for my design. Since it is project dedicated to food water would be used extensively, hence saving the rain water, storm water was my priority. Since the site is having steep levels, having my design to seamlessly be incorporated into the site and be in harmony with the surrounding context was also a factor to consider.
Site
Mission Hill is a one square mile neighborhood located approximately one mile from Boston’s downtown business district. Approximately three quarters of the neighborhood is residential made-up of privately owned one to three family buildings and a number of multi-family buildings built from 1940s through the1960s. The Longwood Medical Area (LMA) makes up the other one quarter of the neighborhood. Within the LMA are 21 institutions focusing on health care, research, education and cultural activities. These institutions are responsible for the largest concentration of jobs in City of Boston outside of the central business district employing 37,000 people with more than 52,000 people working or studying in the LMA on a typical weekday.
Strategy
I have design the roof in a way which collects the water in an underground cistern and then the watere is available for the use in kitchen and dinning and for irrigation. It also helps to distribute the extra water into the neighboring buildings which includes a medical school and a Hospital and some commercial buildings. With these I would also use high efficiency water fixtures to reduce my daily usage of water per person.

2024 I Boston I Homeless Rehabilitation
The design thesis focuses on addressing homelessness in Massachusetts through sustainable, inclusive, and dignified architectural solutions. It emphasizes innovative shared spaces, easy access to essential services, and community-oriented planning to foster social integration and economic empowerment. Influenced by Massachusetts’ progressive values, the project respects cultural diversity and adapts to varied needs. Through scholarly research on architecture, social services, and urban planning, the thesis identifies best practices and emerging trends. Incorporating sustainable building materials, energy-efficient systems, and smart technologies enhances the design’s impact. The aim is to create adaptable, scalable models that can be replicated in other regions.
Transportation
This design for a homeless support center at Massachusetts Avenue and Cass Boulevard offers a comprehensive and compassionate approach to addressing homelessness by integrating essential services under one roof. It includes a day shelter for immediate relief, a medical center for holistic healthcare, a community kitchen for nutritious meals, and a rehabilitation center for targeted recovery support. Transitional housing is provided through private residential units and dormitories, while community gathering spaces and a therapeutic terrace garden foster social connections and personal growth. The architecture balances functionality, sustainability, and warmth, utilizing natural light, green building principles, and accessible layouts to create a dignified and welcoming environment. This project is envisioned as a transformative hub, empowering individuals to achieve stability, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose.

The comments provided were instrumental in shaping the design of my final building by emphasizing the humancentered approach and addressing the nuanced challenges faced by the homeless population. They encouraged me to think beyond providing shelter and focus on creating a space that fosters dignity, safety, and community. By acknowledging the need for privacy, weather protection, and varying durations of stay, I was able to design adaptable dormitories and carefully planned units that respect individual needs while promoting social interaction. Suggestions like inverting the chamfer of the units, ensuring adjacent units have privacy, and incorporating balconies selectively helped refine the architectural expression and usability of the spaces. Distributing programs across levels and introducing multiple entrances improved circulation and accessibility, while ground-level design considerations ensured inclusivity and connection with the urban context. Ultimately, these insights allowed me to create a balanced design where the architecture serves as a framework for human resilience and support rather than a static structure.

An Urban Rejuvenation
2021 I Adalaj I Urban Planning
This project focuses on transforming compact, underutilized urban spaces into vibrant, functional environments through innovative space planning. The goal was to create a cohesive urban fabric where residential, commercial, and public amenities are seamlessly integrated and easily accessible to every resident. Emphasis was placed on reimagining traffic patterns and optimizing road junctions to ensure smooth transit for commuters.
Given the proximity to a UNESCO World Heritage site, the project highlights the importance of enhancing tourist amenities while preserving the cultural and historical significance of the area. All interventions were meticulously planned in adherence to building and city codes, balancing modern functionality with contextual sensitivity.

Getting Technical
2024 I Boston I Homeless Rehabilitation
Every building begins as an idea, but it comes to life through precise technical drawings that capture every aspect of its design on paper. These drawings serve as the foundation for construction, ensuring that each detail aligns with the vision. Through this project, I gained valuable experience in understanding and applying building codes, refining detailing techniques, and performing energy calculations to create a design that is both functional and sustainable. This process strengthened my technical expertise and highlighted the critical role of accuracy and compliance in architectural practice.

Interest
Architecture, for me, is more than just designing buildings—it’s about storytelling, shaping communities, and bringing ideas to life. My passion lies in crafting physical and paper models, where every cut, fold, and detail becomes an expressive language of design. These models not only help me visualize my concepts but also serve as tangible expressions of my creative process. Beyond the realm of architecture, photography allows me to capture the interplay of light, shadow, and texture in everyday spaces, inspiring my designs and deepening my appreciation for the built and natural environments. Together, these pursuits fuel my creativity, helping me explore the limitless possibilities of design and connect my vision with the world around me.
