Environmental education is a well-established discipline that emphasizes the relationship between humans and the natural environment, ways to conserve it, preserve it, and manage its resources properly. It should be a subject inserted in classrooms or even indoors, very early on. With the world becoming more globalized, with society so violent, and with the accelerated growth of cities that replace green spaces with concrete, it has been decreasing the child's direct contact with all elements of nature. In this paradigm, every day that passes children have spaces increasingly restricted to contact with the elements of the environment. Then children are being forced to stay locked at home with the use of technologies as a source of leisure, which most of the time leads to them not knowing what the environment is or the problems they face. A harmonious and ethical relationship between the human being and his environment and having the conservation and improvement of environmental conditions as a theme, can be developed from childhood to adulthood through formal and informal education. Finally, environmental education in childhood awakens the child's awareness of preservation and citizenship. The child begins to understand, from an early age, that he must care for, preserve, and that the future depends on the balance between human and nature and the rational use of natural resources. In the search to awaken individual and collective concern for environmental issues, guaranteeing access to information in adequate language, contributing to the development of a critical awareness, and stimulating the confrontation of environmental and social issues, Cabo Trek had the initiative of promoting activities of environmental education for kids entitled "Humpback Whale: Knowing to Preserve," in an interdisciplinary and experienced way and after the presentation, they all had the experience of seeing whales in their natural environment. The objective of this activity is to sensitize children for marine conservation and promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge about marine life, with emphasis on humpback whales. In addition to promoting the incentive to a practical change of attitude, the development of new habits towards the use of natural resources promotes reflection on the ethical responsibility of our species and the planet as a whole. As a result, helping society achieve a sustainable environment will ensure life on this planet. i
