Rainbow Harbor ❑ Home to more than 11,000 ocean animals, the world-class Aquarium of the Pacific is a must see for all ages. The facility explores the diversity of the Pacific Ocean through three permanent galleries representative of Southern California and Baja, the Northern Pacific and the Tropical Pacific. Of the Aquarium’s exhibits, some of the most popular are those in which guests get to interact with the animals! Stop by the Shark Lagoon, where guests can touch a variety of sharks and stingrays, or head into the Lorikeet Forest, where visitors can feed sweet nectar to more than 100 chirping lorikeets as they land on their head and shoulders! The $4 million, 83-foot Triumphant is the latest developed by All American Marine based in Bellingham, Washington, and includes environmentally efficient technology with zero discharge into the sea and low emission, hydro-assisted engines. Spirit Cruises Spirit Cruises offers trips on its two yachts and sailing ship from Long Beach’s Shoreline Village and from Ports O’Call in
San Pedro. Available year round, the one-hour bay cruise hits about 50 points of interest around the Long Beach Harbor. Longer cruises are available, including a port cruise scheduled for select weekends during spring and summer. January through March, Spirit Cruises offers a two-hour whale watching tour.
