Economic Development Committee The Economic Development Committee’s kickoff meeting for 2017 was held at the University of Delaware’s STAR Campus and was hosted by Michael Smith, College of Health Sciences Director of Strategic Initiatives/Partnerships. Mike Vanderslice of Environmental Alliance serves as the committee chairman, and under his leadership, the committee seeks to advance initiatives that focus on business startups and entrepreneurship, regulatory reform (including modernizing the Coastal Zone Act) and on increasing engagement with elected officials throughout the year.
