ROLAND S. HEIM
1. Roland S. Heim was born in 1962 in Bregenz and lives in Wolfurt, Austria. He took part in group exhibitions in the USA, China, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria and he is now engaged in solo exhibitions. His works belong to private and public collections including at the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art in Las Vegas. Heim is member of the international association of artists Gruppe 30 and is represented by the galleries Bertrand Kass in Innsbruck (Austria) and LDX Artodrome Gallery, Beijing/Berlin (China/Germany). In some of his newer works the bounds between photography and painting become blurred. Inspired by Gerhard Richter’s unique painting technique, a few years ago Heim has developed Big Pixel nearly all contests he took part in during his three year permanent competition time (including State championship and National championship for artistic photography). With a great sense for texture and technique, across a wide range of subject matter, Heim’s work takes the viewer on a very unique visual experience. 1.
