“WHERE THERE IS BELIEF THERE IS POSSIBILITY” YEAR 5 VIRTUAL TASTER DAY SATURDAY 19 JUNE 2021 “I BELIEVE I WILL ONE DAY EXHIBIT AT THE TATE GALLERY BAILEY Excellent all-round education for boys and girls aged 11–18 years, Wokingham, Berkshire. www .luckleyhouseschool.org

Welcome to our Taster Day

Welcome to the Luckley House Virtual Taster Day! Whilst I would, of course, prefer to be meeting you in person, I know that the virtual taster day will be a good way to start to understand what makes Luckley so special.

There is an excellent programme in place for today, led by Mrs Brown, Head of Transition and also Head of Year 7 and 8. Mrs Brown will be joined by members of our wonderful current Year 7 group and some of the wider staff, who will put on fun and interactive activities for you and all of our other prospective pupils.

At Luckley we aim to embed 21st century learning in all aspects of school life, recognising that learning is not only about academics, but about learning for life. Saying that, we are extremely proud of our pupils and the brilliant results and value add that they achieve each year, a reflection of their hard work, outstanding teaching and an excellent home-school partnership. I hope that the balance of activities today, covering academic subjects, creativity and sport will give you a taste of life at Luckley.

At Luckley we focus on the ‘personal best’ of each pupil, celebrating success across all areas of school life. Our curriculum both stretches and nurtures, so that all pupils reach their potential, both in and out of the classroom. Playing a full part in school life is encouraged, helping pupils develop into well-rounded individuals who are equipped for their future in an ever-changing and diverse society. Most importantly, Luckley is a school that is confident that where there is belief, there is possibility! We recognise each pupil for who they are and value and encourage each of them as individuals, to be happy, compassionate, courageous to have self-belief and to aim high!

Do use the Q&A session to ask our Year 7 pupils and teachers any questions that you have. We are planning to run some taster sessions in school for you in the autumn term, so I hope to meet you in person then.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE EVENT
