The Drama Department continues to provide a wonderful practical drama experience for pupils. In addition to the continuation of live Speech and Drama lessons, there is a full extended day programme, highlights of which include the Junior Drama Club and their long-awaited production of ‘How to Spot an Alien’.

Scripted performances from Years 11 and 13 Devised pieces from Years 10 and 12 Online performances of Year 8 monologues based on the methods of Stanislavski Year 9 work using the technique of Verbatim Theatre
In addition, we have an exciting visiting speaker coming to Luckley – A Q&A with West End producer, Grant Edwards Next Tuesday 26 January, 4.30pm.

The ISA are hosting a Shakespeare Monologue Competition
Many Trinity Drama pupils are already preparing for this, but the competition is open to all and I would encourage you to participate.
Miss Vallance is also arranging for Trinity Exam pieces to be recorded so keep an eye on your email.
8. Art
Art continues to thrive with extended day, with the following on offer:
Art club for Year 9 - Run by Mrs Gibbs, this club will be looking at different ways to improve your artistic skills and develop new ways of working with materials.
GCSE and A level Art, Graphics and Photography Club – Students can benefit from extra help and also develop new ways of working within their chosen subject area.
Art and Photography Competition – this bi-weekly competition is open to all pupils in all artistic disciplines.
To help support students further, materials and equipment can be collected from the school if required each week. Please email Richard.Battrick@luckleyhouseschool.org should you need anything.
