Tutors and Head of Year4. Pastoral Care

Pastoral care remains central to all we do at Luckley and there are a variety of points of contact for both parents and pupils. Form tutors will continue to be the first point of contact for queries. Tutees will register remotely every morning via their Form Team. At least once a week, they will have a chance to meet with their tutor face to face online, in a small group to discuss how things are going. Form time will give pupils an opportunity to discuss any challenges they have faced, ask questions and share their successes. Tutors will also encourage pupils to participate in the wide variety of activities on offer.

There are a number of special Luckley Online awards available and we hope pupils will earn many achievement points for their engagement and attainment in online lessons. Staff will also have an opportunity to nominate students who deserve a special prize for engagement with Luckley Online to the Head. The prize will be given out weekly in assembly. Mrs Gilding-Brant will be posting a weekly video update for pupils each week:

Part 2 Use of cameras in online lessons (Updated 22 January 2021)

Heads of Year (HOY) will continue to meet regularly to discuss a pupil wellbeing and they will be available to both pupils and parents should there be any questions or queries. HOY will also contact home regrading absences and will retain an overview of academic progress.

In addition to whole school Monday morning assemblies, HOY will run special assemblies and quizzes for their year groups. Details of these will be communicated directly by the HOY. Links to Monday assemblies will be sent directly to pupils via email and also posted on their Form Team.
