Purpose
The Office of Environmental Planning and Policy Coordination (OEPPC) staff proposes to set up a Facebook account. The purpose of the Facebook account is to convey to the public the mission of OEPPC. This account will update and inform the general public on OEPPC operations, progress, and public information. It will include all the current projects and their objectives/purposes so as to educate and inform the public on OEPPC operations. The proposed OEPPC Facebook account will also serve as a networking mechanism. Facebook is an effective way to communicate to the public on upcoming OEPPC events and other events considered relevant to OEPPC operations. Likewise, an OEPPC Facebook account allows our local partners and colleagues to update us as well. Regular post might include notifications, job advertisements, press releases, and links to relevant websites. Another major outcome of this proposal is to receive feedback from the public via Facebook. The overall objective of this website is to compliment already existing/established works, particularly, in the awareness field. II.
Restrictions
OEPPC facebook account is to be used for work related purposes only. This account is to be used by OEPPC staff members only. All posts need to be official and approved. Only public information is to be posted on the account. All confidential information/data is not allowed to be posted. Any posts that conflict with the interests of OEPPC or our partners shall be immediately removed. Any posts that degrade/demonize the image and reputation of OEPPC shall also be immediately removed. This is not to say that all post will be deleted. Feedbacks that are seen as constructive criticism will remain. III.
Requirements
The OEPPC Facebook account needs to be carefully monitored and updated on a regular basis. It is required to compliment and harmonize our website (currently under construction) at all times. It is also required that all staff members allocate their time wisely as to not take away time from other responsibilities.
