Mai életmódunk rugalmas otthonokat kíván. A városi lakások alapterülete egyre kisebb, szokásaink ugyanakkor sokfélék és gyakran változnak. A konyhát főzésen kívül számos más dologra, teljes értékű lakótérként használjuk (kutatások szerint az otthon dolgozók jelentős része a konyhában teszi ezt), a lakás egésze pedig hétközben intim szféra, hétvégén viszont idegeneknek bérbeadott apartman. A lakók változó igényei olyan bútorokat igényelnek, melyek multifunkciósak – ilyen a Panel is. Térelválasztóként és tárolóként is működik, de nem nehézkes monstrum, hanem akár a felhasználó által szerelhető, továbbépíthető, tetszőleges színkombinációkban működtethető darab, minőségi kivitelezésben.
Our lifestyle today calls for flexible homes. The floor areas of urban flats are decreasing, while our habits are diverse and change frequently. We use our kitchens also for a number of additional activities other than cooking, as a proper living area (research has shown that a significant number of people working from home do so in their kitchens), whereas the whole flat serves as an intimate private sphere during the weekdays, and it is rented out to strangers at the weekends. The changing needs of the occupants call for multifunctional furniture – such as the Panel here. It functions as a room divider and storage at the same time, without being a heavyweight hulk; instead, it is a piece that can be assembled and expanded by the user, and that is available in various colour combinations, produced with high quality workmanship.
