THE DIGITAL FOOTPRINT One year after its premiere at Skiservice, the three-dimensional foot scanning system has caught on. It has put an end to the trial-and-error method of finding the right ski boot and made custom-fitting much easier.
Getting the ski boot right is a crucial matter for any skier. Skiservice's digital foot scanner makes it easier to find the right ski boot. The computer will generate a three-dimensional image of the foot and the lower leg. It doesn't just show the dimensions – length, width and circumference at specific locations – it also shows the foot's impression of the sole. Any misalignments can thus be easily identified. With the help of the foot scanner, it takes just minutes to find out what the skier needs and what options there are to adjust the ski boot to the individual needs of the skier. Skiers with special requirements can have the standard liner of any ski boot replaced with a foam liner from BOOT DOC or SIDA. Filled with a two-component foam, the boot liner will then fit like a glove. Boot fitting is available at Skiservice Surlej and St. Moritz Dorf.
