WITHOUT CITY PARKING PASS: There is metered parking in the lot West of City Hall and along the streets near City Hall. You can park at these meters for up to 2 hours. There is free street parking in the neighborhood behind City Hall near Roper Park WITH CITY PARKING PASS: There is a parking lot at the Northwest corner of City Hall that requires a city parking pass. Some spots are designated for certain employees We've attached a couple of parking maps to the end of the document.

There is bike parking at the entrance of City Hall on the South side of the building. You can also get a bike locker.

How do you get a locker?

• Send your name, department and contact information to Dekova Batey, Bicycle Pedestrian coordinator. o Email: bateydt@cityofgainesville.org o Voicemail: (352) 393-8493

 How do you get your Employee ID# and Badge?

• Follow up with your reporting manager • When your badge is ready you can pick it up in the Old Library Building • You will be required to sign the ‘Acknowledgment of Access Card Responsibilities Form’ in the presence of HR staff.

 Have you received your email account and username?

• If yes •

Your reporting manager will help make sure you can log into your • Email account • Microsoft Teams account • Relevant City platforms • Relevant software accounts • WorkDay • Google Authenticator

• If no •

Follow up with your reporting manager

 Is there an orientation program for new employees?

• Yes, HR will schedule you for New Employee Orientation and will reach out to you via your personal email. It usually takes place about 30 days after you started working.

 Where will orientation take place?

•

The orientation usually takes place at the HR conference room at the Old Library Building (first floor). HR will inform you in case there is a change of venue.

 When will you learn about your insurance and other benefits?

• This will be covered at the New Employee Orientation. You will be eligible for insurance after 30 days employed with the city.

 How do you ensure that your payroll has been setup?

• Follow up with HR, you will be assisted throughout the process • If you wish to enroll in Direct Deposit to receive your paychecks, you may do so on Workday. You will require your account number and routing number.

 Is there a break room or place to buy food in the City Hall complex?

• Yes, there is an Employee Lounge In the basement of City Hall. It has one drink vending machine and one snack vending machine that accepts cash or credit cards.

 Is there a fitness facility that you can avail of?

• If you are interested in using the City Fitness facilities, contact Rod Clark at 8542 clarksj@cityofgainesville.org.
