A household name in Luxembourg graphic design and literature, Pe’l Schlechter is a pioneer whose work you’ve likely encountered before. Born in 1921, Pe’l Schlechter made his mark in the country’s graphic design history from the 1950’s on with his iconic posters for the Société des Foires Internationales de Luxembourg, Caritas, Loterie nationale, Fédération luxembourgeoise de Judo et de Jiu-Jitsu… Pe’l Schlechter is also an accomplished illustrator of children’s books (Maus Kätti), cartoonist (Revue, D’Lëtzebuerger Land), packaging designer, and jewellery designer. He realised exhibition designs and sceneries, logos and neon letterings.
