Tour de Palm Springs ???? By Desert Star Staff United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire (UCPIE) invites you to the 21st Annual Tour de Palm Springs! Founded in 1985 the mission of UCPIE is to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities. On Saturday, February 9, 2019, UCPIE’s “Team Freedom” rides/walks the

Tour de Palm Springs. Team Freedom consists of children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities such as cerebral palsy, down syndrome, spina bifida, autism, and other special needs. UCPIE created it in 2012. Team Freedom started with just one rider. This year UCPIE’s Team Freedom consists of 80+

special needs children and adults riding/walking the Tour de Palm Springs! 100% of the proceeds from Team Freedom at Tour de Palm Springs support UCPIE’s seven afterschool programs and their adaptive bike program! Thanks to the on-going support of our local communities UCPIE can continue to provide their adaptive bike program

and seven after-school programs for children and adults living with disabilities. Community grants and fundraising efforts to fund these two UCPIE programs. Everyday special needs children all the way from Mecca to Desert Hot Springs attend the Skill Builders after-school program which helps program participants develop and improve five

vital skill areas: socialization, independence, communication, safety, and health. This is accomplished through a small student to teacher ratio facilitated by UCPIE and a structured curriculum of community outings, educational activities, arts & crafts, and technology. Goldenvoice Offers Residents Opportunity to Purchase Festival Passes By Desert Star Staff Los Angeles, CA – January 15, 2019 - Goldenvoice announced that they are once again offering local valley residents the opportunity to purchase passes to this April’s Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals. Residents may purchase passes to COACHELLA WEEKEND 1 (April 12-14), COACHELLA WEEKEND 2 (Apr 19-21) and/ or Stagecoach (Apr 26-28) with proof of residency. Residents will be able to submit requests for passes. Order requests will be randomly selected and approved based on residency requirements.

General Admission (GA) Passes are $429 each for Coachella & $349* each for Stagecoach, all fees included. VIP Passes are $999 for Coachella and range from $899-$1,399 for Stagecoach. *Price subject to change. There will be a 4-pass limit per weekend per resident, while supplies last. Wristbands will be placed on the wrist of the resident purchaser and their guest by the box office staff – guests must be present.
