Current Mortgage Rates The cost of borrowing money is going up… again. The Federal Reserve decided to raise its benchmark rate by a quarter of a point this month. So what does this mean for you? Your credit card rate is going to be a full percentage point higher this summer than it was two summers ago, before the Fed started to raise rates. The same thing Mike Tompkins happened with home equity lines of credit; Sales Manager your rate will be a full percentage point Mortgage Loan higher this year than it was two years ago. Originator It's now more important than ever to make more than the minimum monthly payment and get those credit card balances paid off. Some good news: the Fed’s action should not affect mortgage rates for people looking to buy a home. In fact, the average 30year fixed-mortgage rate loan is still under 4% right now.

s the year winds down, I want to extend a sincere thank you to all my clients in the Orange Tree area. 2018 will mark my 30th year in real estate. Three decades ago I mapped out a specific part of the Valley on which to focus my business. It runs from Mountain View Road north to Sweetwater, and 52nd Street east to 64th Street with Orange Tree Golf Course sitting right in the middle ... hence I titled my newsletter, Orange Tree Insider. This area encompasses approximately 1,200 homes, and I’m proud to say I’ve sold hundreds of them. In fact my sales average is 99.3%, so you can have confidence when you list with me, your home WILL sell! Because I also live in the Orange Tree area, I share a vested interest in seeing our home values increase year after year. Maybe that’s why over the years I have averaged a 3% to 6% higher sales price than the competition, leaving a lot more money in my seller’s pocket at closing!
