Scotsman Guide Recognizes W.J. Bradley Among the Country’s Top Mortgage Lenders For the second consecutive year, Scotsman Guide released its list of ‘Top Lenders’ and recognized W.J. Bradley among the nation’s top producing mortgage lenders, ranked by total annual volume. Of the 75 listed lenders, W.J. Bradley ranked number 18 for 2013 overall volume. Additionally, W.J. Bradley came in at number 10 on the published list of lenders with top retail volume for 2013. Off to a Great Start... After a successful Barrett Jackson, Phoenix Open, and Super Bowl, 2015 is certainly off to a great start. The winter visitors continue to arrive and our next big wave of buyers arrive as Spring Training is just starting. My real estate sales also comes in waves; February and March are the busiest months, followed by May and June, then September and October. Inventory in our area remains high, and sales are not quite as robust as previous winters. Much of this can be attributed to the Canadian dollar. Not too long ago the Canadian dollar was worth more than the US dollar. However, it’s now 79 cents to the US dollar, dropping over 20 percent. As a result, our friends up north have recently slowed down their home purchasing. The buying power has dropped significantly and it is showing up in our local market. Look for the US dollar to continue to strengthen in 2015, and the Treasury bond yields to go up, forcing mortgage rates to climb towards summer. One of the best bargains in our area is 6041 E Shangri La. Almost 5800 square feet with a separate guest house sitting at the end of a cul-de-sac, it’s priced at $207 per sq.ft. making it the best priced home in the Orange Tree area.
