What’s In Store For 2016? The website Realtor.com has released a new report that lists the Phoenix area as having one of the hottest housing markets in 2016. The national forecast for home appreciation this year is around 3 percent, said Realtor.com Chief Economist Jonathan Smoke, but the Phoenix area is expected to have a home value boost of 9.5 percent – over three times the national average! According to this research, the expected boost in new home sales should also improve the Valley’s economy by creating more jobs. “Phoenix is definitely not a market that’s cooling down,” Smoke said.
