It's safe to say that Wilson has achieved many great accomplishments for being such a young quarterback. Wilson has earned a completion rating of 64.1%, 29,734 yards, and 227 touchdowns across his career.

Darren Lee Sproles (5'6) Known for being one of the shorter running backs to ever play in the National Football League, Sproles went to the Chargers as the 130th pick in the 2005 draft. From there, he went on to play for the Eagles in 2014. At 5’6, he weighed 190 pounds and had a vertical of 33 inches and a 40 yard dash time of 4 minutes 47 seconds. He was known for being one of the fastest and most agile running backs of his time. Sproles made an impact, not only on offense, but as a punt returner on special teams. Overall, he had a career total of 23 touchdowns, 3,552 yards, and 552 receptions.

Isiah Thomas (5'9) Notorious for being one of the shortest - and greatest NBA players to step foot on a court, Thomas was drafted in the second round of the 2011 NBA draft with 60th pick by the Sacramento Kings. From the beginning of his career, he showed tremendous amounts of skill, even being named Western Conference NBA Rookie of the Month in February 2012. He re-earned his title the following month. Thomas was traded to the Phoenix Suns in 2015, but was then traded a year later to the Boston Celtics. After his fame and glory in Boston, Isaiah bounced around many teams, including the Cavaliers, Lakers, Nuggets and the Wizards. As of the 2020 season Isaiah has been a free agent, evern since his contract with the Clippers had been waived off.

Chris Paul is not only an exceptional basketball player, but he's also a two-time Olympic gold medalist. New to the league in 2005, he was one vote shy of winning Rookie of the Year, but ultimately got overtaken by Deron Williams. Paul won the title the following year, as well as being selected to his first All-Star game.

From there, he played in every All-Star game from 2008-2016, and even earned the MVP title for the first time in 2013. Paul was selected to 10 NBA All-Star teams, eight All-NBA teams and nine NBA AllDefensive teams. He was also named one of the highest paid athletes in the world, having scored endorsements with huge companies like Nike and State Farm.

For millions of kids across the world, many have dreamed of playing baseball in the big leagues amongst their idols.

For a small percentage, this dream could become a reality, but for the large majority of others, it is not. However, there are many other ways that baseball players impact young children’s minds, with their work ethic, and constant inspiration to better themselves on and off the field. Baseball is more than a game as for many, it is a code to live by.

With events such as the Astro’s Cheating scandal, and players such as Robinson Cano getting busted for steroids a few years back, older fans of baseball have said that the new era of the sport is losing its integrity. These are just a few examples of those who have shown no remorse in getting an advantage into the game. However, there is a huge new wave of players that represent exactly what baseball should be. Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, and Christian Yelich, are just a few that are shaping the game like never before. At only 28 years old, Mike Trout is without a doubt one of the greatest to play the game. He is competing with records set by some of the all time greats, like Willie Mays. And those comparisons between the two are not off, Mike is the closest to a five tool player like Willie, than anyone else. The best part about a guy like Trout is his talent is pure. He has a natural talent that is untainted by the dark urge to cheat. You don’t have to be a baseball fan to respect greatness by Mike and every other young superstar.

The message that a young kid at home gets from these All Star players, is greatness isn’t achieved by taking the easy way. There will always be cheaters, but the honest ones will always rise to the top. Baseball and MLB may be growing and evolving from its old roots, but it doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Back in the 1980’s/90’s (the steroid era) baseball was as fake as a wrestling match. No authenticity and no real role models to teach kids right from wrong. Barry Bonds and Mark McGwire were the face of the steroid epidemic, and it might have been fun to watch them hit 400 ft home runs, but what about every other guy that worked twice as hard for a spot that they took? Major League Baseball and fans of the sport should never want baseball to go back to how it used to be. Derek Jeter just got inducted into the hall of fame, and many reflect on how good those times were, and it’s easy to see why. Derek was a great role model for any young athlete, but instead of looking back, baseball fans need to look forward. Now we have Ronald Acuña Jr. and Gerrit Cole to lead the new generation of ball players. We don’t need Barry Bonds, or Sammy Sosa anymore.

While it is hard to say goodbye, the new Astro’s scandal has shed light on the legitimacy and integrity played by every other Major League Athlete. The Astro’s poor decisions should be viewed as a lesson, and an important event that all of baseball can learn from. It’s time for baseball fans around the world to come together and say, “Out with the old, in with the new!”

These kinds of ground-breaking achievements are recognized and celebrated during March, which is Women’s History Month. The month highlights women’s contributions to society and historical achievements.

International Women’s Day is also in March. It serves a slightly different purpose than women’s history month as International Women’s day, March 8th, focuses on women’s rights while also reminicsing on achievements throughout history.

Women’s History Month was first established in 1987 by Congress, and before that there was Women’s Week. Women’s Week was first celebrated in 1980 between March 2nd and 8th.

The only thing is, Drew Brees hasn’t shown any significant drop off even at age 41. Brees had one of the best passing years last year in 2019, with 116.3.

However, the Tennessee Titans eliminated the Ravens in the first playoff game, and that was that. Now what can the Ravens do? They are a very lethal threat in AFC North, but how can they bounce back into the next season after such an upsetting loss? These are questions Lamar Jackson and the Ravens have to answer.

It’s something we’ve all seen in movies, the montage of memories that appear in a characters mind moments before their death. Most people don't know when that moment is and take each day as if it is promised, but the reality is that no one is promised tomorrow.

The helicopter crash that happened in January, took the lives of nine people. There were young girls who had lost their lives before even making it to high school. Adults, like Kobe Bryant, who never made it to the age of fifty. Those people being someone’s mom, their dad, or their sister, just gone in the blink of an eye. Times like these, make you realize the harsh truth about life. The truth that, in any given moment, you or your loved one can take their last breath.

With life being short, we tend to take it for granted. Life is something that is so fragile and can end so easily, but no one gives that much thought. One day someone is here, and then they’re not.

But before we go and the inevitable happens...

Breast cancer is the most common cancer an American women can be diagnosed with. There are over three and a half million breast cancer survivors in the United States. Within in the country, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. On average, every two minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer, but when it happens to someone who is close to you and who you love dearly, it's as if your world begins to fall apart.

As it goes by “Chicano� or “cholo� style, many uncultured people will refer to this as a fashion that has no sense and that’s related to gang activity just based on how it looks. Though, the style itself is influenced by different characteristics such as clothing, makeup, speech patterns, hand signals, tattoos, and graffiti.

What seems to be associated with cholo culture tends to be negative. The style is stereotyped as low status, not well educated, etc. However, these stereotypes drag the Cholo style down even though it’s nothing but inspiring. The style itself has a far much deeper meaning than what it’s categorized such as it representing their sense of belonging and protection. Other traits that are revealed by this sense of style is one's loyalty, value, and respect.

The first forerunners of this cholo tradition were young Mexican Americans who belonged to gangs between the 1930s to the 1950s.

I'm almost finished my twelfth year of primary school education (sounds fancy, eh?) and every year the requirements for each grade have gotten ridiculously easy. I vividly remember taking the SBAC and Discovery test back in my good ol’ middle school days and envying them the day they arrived. Yeah, I bet you forgot about those tests. Yet, as the years went on, the use of this test became pointless, and the

entirety of these tests disintegrated. I actually remember being anxious and actually pushed to go good, so I can pass and move onto the next grade.

And as I got into high school, the last required standardized test, the EOC’s, lost their meaning too. The EOC's test scores had no worth. All I remember was that it was part of my final exam grade, and that was the only reason why I thought I should do somewhat okay on it.

This proves that if the standardized test had no purpose, students would be lousy. And I’m a student who is guilty of it.

What I’m trying to say here is that by taking away the intentions of standardized tests helps students slack off. If I knew these tests wouldn’t hurt my grade and wouldn’t hurt me from going into the next class year, I’d fill out answer choice “C” for every bubble. And guess what, I got away with it!

Besides that point, it’s safe to say where high school education is going, and it's none other than downhill.

Students will always have excuses as to why they don't care. The list can go on forever. We get it, you don’t want to learn the quadratic equation, you want to learn how to do your taxes! But, let me ask you this. If you are so concerned about how to do your taxes (with the job you don't have) then look it up! Tax invasion should be the least of your problems! Stop ditching your fourth period and turn in your homework! You’re a student, and it’s your job to do your part. It’s up to you and only you to be the best version of your student self, so make it count.

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' birthday and a special day for us to reminisce on the memories of these special books that carried us through our childhood.

Back in elementary school, having that one week to read Dr. Seuss and dressing up as characters was some of the best times to be a kid. His stories sparked imaginations across all ages.

“When growing up reading his books I would feel inspired and my imagination would be free to run wild,” Bryston Nguyen (10) said.

Books such as The Lorax, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Green Eggs and Ham and many more are favorites among little kids. The characters in his book were fun and not the boring characters in normal books.

His writing just made kids enjoy reading.

“He always rhymes and would make the books colorful,” said Aaron Pamugas (10), “That was basically the way I started to read and get into books.”

His work turned into movie adaptations for people to watch. Movies such as The Lorax, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Horton Hears a Who are all from his books. PBS Kids even have a TV show with the characters from The Cat in The Hat. His books were so impactful to the world and anyone who read them would learn eye opening lessons.

“I learned to cherish friendships and because of that I have lots of amazing memories and friends that I can depend on,” said Pamugas.

Written by: Byron Raymundo Graduation. For many, this means that soon they will be leaving for college, others may go to the military or immediately on the road to start their careers. Many may not even know what they have planned for after high school.

As for three seniors, they're on their way to success as they're heading to college, applying for jobs, or going into the military. Each student is also in the midst of finding their own path.

Senior, Anthony Montano, is interested in pursuing the life of a military soldier. His main interest is the Marines as he plans on serving 8 years or more. Going to college is a minor interest for Anthony, although if he were to go he would like to major in architecture at UNLV. He is currently working to save money for either of his future plans.

Senior, Cynthia Jones, does have college in her future plans with nursing as her major. She is currently working at a dog daycare due to her transparent love of dogs, but does not plan on making a career of it.

If she were to go to the military, her interest would be to work as a medic once she attains her BSN.

Senior, Chanelle Magbanua, is most definitely planning and successfully on her way to make it into

Cynthia Jones UNLV with her eyes set on majoring in the veterinary field. She is currently working at In n Out and plans on going full-time with the possibility of getting into management. Going to the military is not in her future plans.

What brings the fairy tale magic to life is the numerous characters who walk around the park. Though these characters are practically identical to their on screen self, the requirement to be a character has strict guidelines.

Disney Princesses all have different features and qualities that come with their character. There is a specific process that you need to take in order to become a Disney Princess. Disney princesses' height requirements have to be between 5'4 and 5'7.The height requirements, of course, go shortest to tallest, but they're labeled with Disney's height chart starting from Mouse, Duck, Pooh, to Goofy. As for their age, Disney princesses are between ages eighteen to twenty-three. There are princesses who are older, but it’s rare to find a Disney princess older than twenty-seven because they need to preserve the characters youth.

Behind the scenes of the new theater project: The Triangle Factory Project

The Triangle Factory Fire Project marks the third play of the year for the theater program. The theater program performed this play from February 13th to February 15th. This play was performed in a documentary style. The spectators only ever see what goes on in front of the curtains. Let’s go behind curtains and see how these amazing students pull off such a big project.

Before the play Before each and every play all of the actors and tech people gather in a classroom and had the chance to go up and talk about anything they wanted to talk about. The emotions were very high in the classroom. There were first time performers who were talking about the first audition they had and how happy they were to have this opportunity to meet everyone who was about to perform. Some seniors even talked about their future plans.

After they did their warm ups, everyone ran in for a group hug and then it was officially show time.

During the play As the lights go down, tech goes up into the booth where the lights and sounds are all controlled in. As the lights go out, the actors start performing.

And as the performance goes on, the other actors rush in and out of the theater classroom to get ready for their next appearance on stage. Some are talking to each other backstage and some are having little costume changes. Others are in the wings watching the play unfold.

During intermission, all of the actors retreat backstage and eat and talk about things. As the lights go down again, the performance starts.
