-Vision...
As urbanization continues to shape our cities, there arises a pressing need to rethink traditional architectural approaches and societal norms surrounding urban development. With an ever-growing population migrating to urban areas, there is a call for innovative design solutions that balance human needs with environmental stewardship. In my view, sustainable building design serves as a beacon of forward-thinking in urban planning. My ambition is to contribute to this ethos through my involvement in design and research initiatives, leveraging these opportunities to foster a more systematic approach to sustainable design thinking. Through thorough investigation and ongoing advocacy, I aspire to garner broader support for sustainable design principles, establishing them as essential components of urban development strategies.

Residential house
The current project revolves around a semidetached Victorian house owned by the architect, Lovely Sam's family. The property faces energy issues exacerbated by its hilltop location, lack of indoor insulation, an outdated heating system, and problems with leaking windows and chimney. The glasshouse in the backyard, receiving direct sunlight, also contributes to temperature loss.
To address these challenges and enhance living conditions while reducing energy bills, a proposal aligning with the Passive House (Passivhaus) strategy has been put forth. This includes incorporating mixed insulation to minimize thermalbridges and heat losses, installing triple-glazed windows to mitigate heat loss,

Serviced Apartment
Located within the esteemed Xinyi district of Taiwan, renowned for its opulence and bustling business environment, the site stands as a prime location attracting numerous businessmen seeking accommodation during their ventures. Acknowledging this demand, the establishment's primary focus is to function as a service apartment, catering to the needs of these discerning travelers.
In crafting the architectural blueprint, careful consideration is given to the diverse preferences of potential occupants. Room accommodating single, double, or family arrangements to rooms with or without balconies adds another dimension to the design, providing guests with a choice to experience either an open-air ambiance or a more enclosed setting.
foundational design elements, the overall shape and layout of the building are shaped, ensuring a harmonious integration of functionality and aesthetics. This thoughtful approach not only enhances the appeal of the establishment but also enriches the experience for guests seeking comfort and convenience amidst the vibrant backdrop of Xinyi district's cosmopolitan allure.
-07-
One option for enhancing the comfort of the balcony room is to incorporate plants, which not only add aesthetic appeal but also contribute to a healthier environment. To facilitate optimal growth, each balcony spans two stories, reaching a height of 8m. Conversely, for guests who prefer not to have balconies, an alternative is available to expand the room size, thereby creating a more spacious interior.
A centrally located sports area within the building provides convenient access for tenants. This space encompasses two primary facilities: a gym and a swimming pool, allowing residents to engage in physical activity and recreation without leaving the premises.
