About the course Adventure Tourism is around the world, around the country and around the corner in the Peak District. It is a new area of study that combines the classic tourism offer of sun, sea, sand and Sangria with sustainability, style and snow. It's about being forward looking, entrepreneurial and challenging the classic notions of the tourism experience.

How you’ll learn You’ll be assessed by a combination of coursework, exams, oral presentations and written assignments.

Start dates: September

Why choose this course? ▪ This programme can be combined with Countryside Management or Outdoor Recreation, which means that you will study two subject areas, giving you a great range of knowledge and skills for your future career. ▪ You’ll study in the beautiful spa town of Buxton, which is on the edge of the Peak District National Park, so it's a perfect place for developing your skills in adventure related activities.

With small groups and a passionate lecturer the course feels more personal and makes me more enthusiastic and willing to learn. You get to know the lecturer and they get to know you, which you may not find at larger universities Richard Powazynski, Final year, Adventure Tourism student.
