Henry H. Mouradian, D.D.S. March 12, 1905-July 21, 2010 TICONDEROGA — Henry H. Mouradian, D.D.S., 105, of Ticonderoga, NY, died on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at the Heritage Commons Residential Healthcare, after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Schmeling) Mouradian, formerly of Rockford, IL, to whom he married on August 2, 1945; a son, William Mouradian, M.D. of Palos Verde, CA; a daughter, Wendy Mouradian Dethier, M.D. of Bellevue, WA; a sister, Grace Kilarjian of Freeport, NY; six grandchildren, including Amanda Mouradian Darby, D.V.M. of Sugar Land, TX; two great-grandchildren, one nephew, three nieces, and several cousins. His two brothers, Albert Mouradian, M.D. of Key Biscayne, FL and James Mouradian, M.D. of White Plains, pre-deceased him. Dr. Mouradian was born in Aintab, Turkey, to the parents of Armenian descent on March 12, 1905, the son of Haroutune and Mariam (Koumrian) Mouradian. He attended the German Elementary School and the American University in Beirut, Lebanon until 1920, when the family emigrated to the United States. Dr. Mouradian graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry in 1929. He was in active practice in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, until 1973, when he and his wife moved to Ticonderoga. He was an associate with Dr. G. Peter Cook of Ticonderoga, until his retirement in 1985. Dr. Mouradian was a life member of the Fourth District Dental Society and the New York Dental Association. He and his wife went on a Medical Mission to the Dominican Republic in 1970, and again to Taiwan in 1975 with the Christian Medical Society. He loved to travel, having visited 37 countries on five continents. He spoke six languages. He was very fond of all types of music especially chorale music and he and his wife were among the founders of the Champlain Valley Chorale of Ticonderoga in 1976. He was also a member of

the Kiwanis of Ticonderoga. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Ticonderoga. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the First United Methodist Church, Wicker St., Ticonderoga, NY 12883 or The Armenian Missionary Association of America, Inc., 31 West Century Road, Paramus, NJ 07652. Bernice J. Swinton June 7, 1933 - July 18, 2010 TICONDEROGA — Bernice J. Swinton, 77, of Ticondeoga, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Born in Toledo, Ohio, June 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Cecelia (Riley) Franklin. Mrs. Swinton was a resident of Ticonderoga and the surrounding areas for over 40 years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by one son, Audas Swinton; three grandchildren, Kyle Swinton, Bryan Mika and Duane Mika; two brothers, Floyd Franklin and Clayton Franklin; and two sisters, Stella Goben and Lucille White. Survivors include her seven children, James Menser and his wife, Sally of Fayetteville, NC, Varonica Mika of Ticonderoga, Clayton Menser and his wife, Karen of Crown Point, Wendy Swinton of Laconia, NH, Martin Swinton and his wife Devra of Center Harbor, NH, Terry Maylor of Plattsburgh, and Bradley Swinton of Laconia, NH; and one brother, Carl Franklin of Millberry, Ohio. Dec. 29, 1929 - July 23, 2010 CROWN POINT — Normand W. St. Pierre, 80, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010, at the Heritage Commons Residential Healthcare of Ticonderoga. Normand was born in St. Albans, Vermont on Dec. 28, 1929, the son of the late Clarence and Anna (Lanier) St. Pierre. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. St. Pierre was employed as a Power Supply Technician for Digital Corp. of Burlington, Vt., for many years. He was a member of the Hague Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Denise R. (Bergeron) St. Pierre; three daughters, Karen Hyde and her husband, Bruce of Bradford, Vt., Debra Fitzgerald and her husband, Marty of Colchester, Vt., and Anne Marie Wilson and her husband, Larry of Atlanta, Ga.; three sons, Timothy St. Pierre and his wife, Lucy of Plattsburgh, NY, Brian St. Pierre and his wife, Grace of Crown Point, NY, and Roy St. Pierre and his wife, Lisa. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Hague Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the fellowship hall of the church. LeRoy Eugene “Skeeter” Clarke Oct. 20,1941 - July 25, 2010 CROWN POINT — LeRoy Eugene “Skeeter” Clarke passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at his home in Crown Point, NY, surrounded by his family. Born October 20,1941 in Crown Point,NY to the late Howard Clarke and Mabel(Downing) Clarke Keast. He worked at International Paper in Ticonderoga, NY, for 34 years where he retired. He also worked for Bigalows of Crown Point doing farming, carpentry and masonry jobs , which he used his experience throughout the years for other people. He was a member of Crown Point School Board for one term. He was predeceased by his first wife of 39 years Patricia Pertak Clarke in 2000 and a brother Robert (Bob) Clarke of Phoenix, AZ, in 1987. He is survived by his wife of 10 years Clara Jane (Powell) Clarke. His three children Joseph Clarke , Penny Clarke Beeman and Robert and Belinda Clarke Lacy. Seven grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren, All of Crown Point, NY. His step-children Lorraine and her husband John Baxter of Las Vegas, NV., Pamela and her husband Jim Hardy of Roy, Utah, Deborah and her husband Eric Felton of Phoenix, AZ., Eric and his wife Marla Clarke of Phoenix, AZ., Krissy and her husband Dustin Wright of Oakdale, CA., Katrina(Beth) and her husband Tim Lepley of Oakdale ,CA. Ray E. Telfer March 24, 1952-July 25, 2010 TICONDEROGA — Ray E. Telfer, 58, of Ticonderoga, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga. Born in Ticonderoga, March 24, 1952, he was the son of Earl Simmons Telfer and Marguerite Georganna (Dickson) Telfer. A funeral service was held July 29. The Rev. Mr. Elliott A. Shaw officiated. Interment followed at the Mt. Hope Cemetery of Ticonderoga.
