Daniel Francis LaMotte July 19, 1944-Jan. 11, 2011 TICONDEROGA — Daniel Francis LaMotte, 66, of Ticonderoga, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Center of Burlington, Vt. Born in Ticonderoga, July 19, 1944, he was the son of the late Orin E. and Helen (Fish) LaMotte. Mr. LaMotte grew up in Mineville, NY, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was self-employed as a carpenter and mechanic. Dan enjoyed life to its fullest, and he especially enjoyed wheelin’ and dealin’. His favorite pastime was entertaining friends in the comforts of his garage. He loved his dogs, Bella, Kudaman, and Hendrix and his cat, 4:30. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Orin LaMotte, Jr. and Robert LaMotte; one sister, Judith LaMotte; and one step-brother, Harry Ryan. He is survived by his wife, Judy L. (Nadeau) LaMotte; three children, Danielle (Gary) LaMotte of Lewis, Dwayne (Melissa) LaMotte of Westport, and Kelly (Jay) Granger of Putnam Station; seven step-children, Daniella Burke of Witherbee, Constance Howard of South Carolina, Kristen Temple of Troy, Jessica LaBounty of Ticonderoga, Jennifer Burnett of Troy, Michael Fuller, Jr. of Ticonderoga, and Sara Fuller of Ticonderoga; six siblings Eddie, Charlie, Patsey, Barb, Donna, Nancy and their spouses; a special aunt, Gloria (Jack) Terry; one step-brother, Mike Ryan; and three step-sisters, Paula Anson, Cathy King, and Sue Ryan: and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date at a time to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga.
Clayton B. Harrington Dec. 31, 1925-Jan. 12, 2011 TICONDEROGA — Clayton B. Harrington, 85, of Ticonderoga, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at the Heritage Commons Residential Healthcare of Ticonderoga. Born in Salisbury, NY, Dec. 31, 1925, he was the son of the late Earl and Mildred (Cameron) Harrington and step-mother, Harriet Harrington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, having served in China during WW II. Clayton has been a resident of Ticonderoga for most of his life. He was employed by International Paper Company of Ticonderoga for 38 years and was a member of the Company's Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ticon-

Mr. Harrington was active in many local organizations, including the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks # 1494 and the American Legion Post # 224, both of Ticonderoga and the Oneonta Moose Club. He was also very active in the Methodist Church Thrift Shop and Food Pantry. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Ruth T. (Thatcher) Harrington on May 18, 1999; and also by one brother, James Harrington. Survivors include one son, Leigh Earl Harrington and his wife, Sandy of Cherry Valley, NY; one daughter, Nancy Cox and her husband, Terry of Sharon Springs, NY; three brothers, John (Jean) Cameron Harrington of Crown Point, Lynn (Deanne) Harrington of Ticonderoga, and Earl (Sally) Harrington of Putnam Station, and one sister-in-law, Jean Harrington of Lusby, Maryland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends called Monday, Jan. 17, from 10 - 11 a.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral service followed on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Scott Tyler, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Ticonderoga, officiated. Interment will take place in the spring at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga. Donations in his memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry, Wicker Street, Ticonderoga, NY 12883.
Joan Mary (Nedeau) DeRosia March 10, 1937-Jan. 14, 2011 TICONDEROGA — Joan Mary (Nedeau) DeRosia, 73, of Ticonderoga, passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at her residence. Born in Moriah, March 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Petro) Nedeau. Joan was an avid bingo player and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Robert Rancour in 1977, and by her second husband, Richard DeRosia in 2006; and also by her great-granddaughter, Madison Shae Hall in 2006. Survivors include one daughter, Paula J. Rosenberger and her husband Bill of Watervliet; one son, Robert “Mike” Rancour and his fiance, Linda Elkins of Ticonderoga; four grandchildren, Matthew and Dannae Hall, Beth and Chad Montville, Bob and Heather Rancour, and Victor Scuderi and Kristina Rosenberger; and five great-grandchildren, Trevor, Brandon, Brexton, Reese, and Sophie. There are no calling hours or funeral service scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga. Bush plans to wed TICONDEROGA — Michael and Wendy Bush of Ticonderoga have announced the engagement of their daughter, Whitney, to Michael Brassard, son of Andrew and Danielle Brassard of Moriah. Bush is currently attending SUNY-Plattsburgh for a degree in childhood education. Brassard is attending SUNY Canton for a degree in mechanical engineering technology. Both will graduate in May 2011. The wedding will be Oct. 8, 2011.
Births Jalonack Brianna K.Ives and Christopher M. Jalonack have announced the birth of their son, Tristan Michael Jalonack, on Dec. 19, 2010, at Glens Falls Hospital at 12:53 a.m. He weighted 6 pounds, 8.3 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Brian Ives and Reta Harrington of Ticonderoga. Paternal grandparents are Hope Jalonack of Ticonderoga and David Jalonack of Utica.
