Shortfall noted in backpack program By Shawn Ryan
shawn@denpubs.com PLATTSBURGH Ñ This summerÕ s fundraising push for J.C.E.O. of Clinton and Franklin counties has been their most successful yet, but they are still falling short of their main goal, sponsoring 90 local school children for their backpack program. Backpack program director Kathy Bishop is confident though that they can reach their ambitious goal for the whole 90 by the end of the month. Ò WeÕ re excited. We started the concept in January, but we really didn’t get in and figure out how much money we needed to raise until March,Ó
