The salt in Himalayan salt lamps come from the Himalayan mountains (no surprise there!). When you purchase your salt lamps, look for labeling that tells you where the lamp is made. If it says that the lamp was made in Pakistan (where the Himalayas are at), you most likely have a real Himalayan salt lamp.
