Design Excellence Award (DEmark) was established in Thailand Office of Innovation and Value Creation, Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce was established in 1990 under the original name of Design Service Center, with the goal of developing innovative Thai product designs that can compete in the international market. It also acts as a center where producers, exporters and designers can meet and collaborate to develop Thai products for export.
