These post WWI expatriate authors became known as “The Lost Generation.” In 1925, Fitzgerald published his masterpiece, “The Great Gatsby.” During this time, he also wrote many brilliant short stories that display the gracefulness of his prose and his themes of aspirations, romantic dreams and the nature that wealth played during his lifetime. This course will seek to compare these short stories with the styles and themes of “The Great Gatsby.” As always, the centerpiece of this course will be group discussions. One book will be required: “Babylon Revisited and Other Stories,” edited by James L. W. West., available for $9.99 on Amazon.
