One day Sharon had an idea resulting in the creation of Amsterdam Small Business Network. Having started her career in one of the world’s leading financial management companies where she was responsible for managing large technical projects enabling people to see through the fog and giving them direction, she felt ideally suited to helping small businesses in her local area achieve the same things. Sharon is a people person who loves to organise parties and social gatherings. She thrives on sourcing new, exciting products and resources, discovering local businesses and supporting her local community. She’s super organised but knows

…Enter Marjolijn: born into a family of passionate entrepreneurs who run several businesses alongside each other as effortlessly as they drink their coffee. She studied and worked abroad for many years, gathering all sorts of experience such as managing other people’s diaries, planning and organising performances for a ballet theatre, purchasing silk from China and handling all marketing for an international online travel agency. But she wanted more and she wanted it smaller, meaning local, as she felt there was so much more to Amsterdam and it’s entrepreneurial spirit. Using her logical, creative and conceptual thinking and her love for

Born and raised on the south coast of the UK, I moved to the Netherlands to be with my Dutch husband and two boys. I have worked for a variety of companies as an employee and as a freelancer. My work covers many different areas including the design of: logos, corporate identities, brochures, leaflets, flyers, signage, packaging, newsletters, magazines, on-screen acrobat guides, Facebook and web banners, advertisements, posters, roll-up banners, personalized cards, wordpress websites, birthday cake tops and other promotional items such as beach flags and more. I also do basic photography for those who don’t have a big budget.

A sensitive and versatile designer who aims to translate a client’s vision. Finely attuned to the needs of the client and audience, I always aim for the right look and feel, incorporating several disciplines within my design approach. Often interior design, graphic design and styling are being brought together to create one visual identity.
