MAN ON THE MOON

PROJECT OVERVIEW: Man on the Moon combines the realms of cannabisinfused relaxation and athletic rehabilitation, all enveloped in an awe-inspiring astronaut theme.

Inspired by the vastness of outer space and the resilience of astronauts, Man on the Moon Seamlessly integrates a cannabis dispensary with specialized zone for athletic rehabilitation.

Building Shape

The interior design seamlessly integrates futuristic materials, including reflective surfaces, holographic elements, and LED saunas and cold plunges.

Within this space, the realms of cannabis, athletic rehabilitation, and the marvels of outer space come together to reshape the concept of well-being. The “Man on the Moon” project strives for a healthier and more enlightened future. These materials not only elevate the visual allure but also play a crucial role in enriching the overall immersive experience of athletes and hardworking individuals.

SPRING 2023 NATURE’S NEST Software: Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator

PROJECT OVERVIEW: The goal of this project is to design a lecture hall at the Sacramento State Arboretum that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The lecture hall will provide a space for educational lectures and workshops that showcase the natural beauty of the arboretum. By focusing on symmetry, accessibility, a pure, simple aesthetic, lighting, and sustainability, we can create a lecture hall that provides a functional space for educational lectures and workshops while enhancing the beauty of the arboretum and the Sacramento State campus as a whole.

The balanced proportions and mirrored elements create a sense of harmony and balance. The interior of the building will be accessible only to students and guests during school hours while the lower level patio will be accessible to visitors at all times. The interior space will take advantage of the natural light by incorporating a large store front window and a 360-degree ribbon window to provide views of the surrounding landscape and allow natural light to filter into the space.

Nature’s Nest also focuses on sustainability and accessibility by including the use of reused materials such as wood trimming and a store front door from buildings planned to be demolished. The interior and exterior spaces will make use of ramps to allow accessibility to everyone.

PROJECT OVERVIEW: In response to the pressing need for sustainable and inclusive urban development, the architectural vision revolves around 10 key elements that harmonize to create a holistic and resilient community.

Public vs Private

Integrated Urban Resilience Hub (IURH) is an example project designed to address the unhoused crisis occurring in Sacramento, CA. IURH’s design places a strong emphasis on inclusivity. The project incorporates affordable housing and communal spaces to empower marginalized populations, creating a community that thrives on diversity. Locally sourced materials decrease transportation-related emissions and support local economies. Choosing healthy materials, such as low-VOC paints and sustainable wood, enhances indoor air quality and reduces exposure to harmful chemicals. The IURH will
