The Georgia Center for the Book is the state affiliate of the Center for the Book at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. The Center was chartered in early 1998 with the DeKalb County Public Library serving as its host and sponsor. The Center’s mission is the support of libraries, literary programs, and literature, particularly Georgia’s rich literary heritage.
DeKalb County Public Library is a place to grow. The library enlightens and enriches the people of DeKalb County by providing responsive, dynamic services that meet the changing informational, educational, and recreational needs of a diverse population.
The Library depends on gifts to provide programs and services not funded by tax dollars. Your charitable gift helps create programming and services that would not exist otherwise. To find out more, visit dekalblibraryfoundation.org
The library plays a primary role in cultivating a literate and economically strong DeKalb County, enhancing the quality of life for everyone in the community.
