Das Buch analysiert Repräsentationen von ‚Kolonialismus‘ am Beispiel von österreichischen Geschichtslehrbüchern für die 7. Schulstufe sowie ihre Rezeption und Aneignung durch die Lernenden. Multimodale Textanalysen werden durch ethnographisch-teilnehmende Beobachtungen des Unterrichts sowie Analysen von Gruppendiskussionen ergänzt. Dabei wird auch die Frage fokussiert, inwieweit die Lernenden das Thema in ihre aktuelle Lebenswelt integrieren.
The book analyzes representations of ‘colonialism’ using the example of 7th grade Austrian school textbooks and their reception and acceptance by students. Multimodal text analyses are supplemented by participatory ethnographic classroom observations and analyses of group discussions.
