COVID-19

KEEPING CAMPERS SAFE

WHAT WE ARE DOING TO KEEP OUR CAMPERS SAFE

At the Deerfield Park District, the safety of our participants and visitors is our top priority. We have always been committed to providing safe and clean programs and facilities to the community. In accordance with state and local governmental orders, we are taking extra precautions to stay safe and healthy. This includes extensive cleaning protocols and social distancing practices in our facilities.

Masks and Face Coverings ‣ All staff, participants and visitors must wear face masks/coverings while in our facilities and in every class. ‣ For outside activities, participants and visitors can be unmasked when they are able to maintain 6 feet of social distance, except if specific activity guidelines exist.

Social Distancing & Group Sizes ‣ Some of our programs have been adjusted by reducing program sizes, altering activities and staggering start times. ‣ Signage at parks and facilities and messaging on our website encourages social distancing at group size and capacity limits.

Hand Washing & Sanitizing ‣ Staff and visitors are recommended to wash hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the restroom, before eating, and after blowing their nose, coughing or sneezing. ‣ Hands free sanitizer stations are available throughout our facilities.

Cleaning & Common Areas ‣ In addition to regular maintenance, the park district has enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures for frequently touched objects and surfaces throughout the day. ‣ Cleaning and disinfecting before and after each class is conducted in compliance with CDC protocols. ‣ Water fountains will remain turned off at this time; we encourage labeled water bottle use.

How You Can Help Keep Yourself & Others Safe ‣ If you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, have a fever or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please stay home and protect other participants, visitors and staff. ‣ Avoid contact with others that are sick or experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms. ‣ Use proper cough and sneeze etiquette. ‣ Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands. We care about your health. The COVID-19 pandemic is serious. Please be respectful of staff and fellow visitors and understand that our staff are providing the best experience possible given the current limitations. CDC and state government procedures change frequently. We will adapt to those changes as necessary.

Golf Camps Deerfield Small Group Summer Golf Camps

Our Small Group Summer Camps will replace our Full and Half Day Camps for 2021. These sessions will be run by our professional staff and will include a series of instructional segments each day in addition to time on the golf course with a coach. The instruction portion of these classes will be broken into small skill stations that will consist of drills and exercises focused on full swing, short game and putting. We will also discuss etiquette and rules as we prepare the golfers for time on the golf course. All these classes will maintain a 4:1 coach to teacher ratio to ensure social distancing practices, as necessary. All classes will run Monday-Thursday 12:00pm-4pm. If you have a group of four friends that would like to create a group, we may be able to create a custom time/schedule for you. Contact Derek@deerfieldgolf.org for more information.
